Three Tune Tuesday - Hip Hop Influences
Hi everyone.
Continuing with #threetunetuesday posts.
Today is the time to give bit attention to the Hip Hop Music and culture.
It had a pivotal influence on my music life, as I played part in pioneering this style of music and culture at that time in ex Yugoslavia (1980s).
Just as Hip Hop was rising, I became teenager and although Hard Rock and Punk and Guitar was my main focus, Hip Hop with its grooves, message and energy quickly became loved, and soon enough we had plenty of crossovers between those genres as well, as they were right from the start very complimentary and had similar audience.
Today.40 years later (lol) we can look back at the whole range of artists, and today it is one of the main music genres in the World. In many aspects it is bigger and more sustainable than is the case with Rock for example.
I will play three tracks from some of the biggest names who probably need no introduction. Two of those will also be examples of Rock/HipHop crossovers, while one track will simply be a Hip Hop Anthem dedicated to the whole genre.
Public Enemy, Eminem, Ice T, Run Dmc, LL Cool J, Rakim, ...agh so many great tracks I will have to skip this time...
Here we go..
Cypress Hill - (Rock) Superstar
Beastie Boys - Sabotage
2Pac - California Love feat. Dr. Dre
I hope you enjoyed reading and listening. Best Regards.

These were definitely some good tunes. Beastie Boys are always a good time! The Cyrpress Hill song was really a lot of fun too.
Quality trio of tunes here my friend. Respect.
