Songs That Heal Me

When I was very feverish last week. Locked In my cocoon, my body doing what it was meant to, a certain song was going through my head. As my body ached and the pain intensified as I moved, I began to sing it to myself.

I release control
And surrender to the flow
Of love
That will heal me

Over and over again like a mantra, carrying me through my pain and discomfort. Ever so gently, cradling me, until I fell asleep. I had forgotten about, until I get reminded thanks to the Three Tune Tuesday initiative. I was wondering what music I should share. And then I remembered and I began to sing it again.

It's such, a beautifully simple song. Yet those words, are so empowering you feel that power, when you sing it, when you release it out into the world. It's the perfect song for me right now. So that is my theme. Songs that empower me. That Uplift me. Songs that heal me.

We need to be careful, what we allow into our world, into our bodies, into our minds. Everything we consume has an impact on us.

Then there is the simplicity of this song, " I am Blessed" by Desiree Dawson, using her voice and hands to create such a beautiful song. Reminding me how blessed I am. Reminding me how much I gave grown. How we have all grown.

Then, there is "Sanna Corazon", by the beautiful soul that is Alex Serra. Whom I've had the blessing of seeing live twice last year and each time, I felt something heal in me. His music is to me, a gift to the world. Listening to him, brings me a lot of peace.

This version that I posted, is a more stripped back version, with Sam Garret. But it's rawness, adds more depth to it. Even more feing and power. A song about ultimately healing yourself through love.
