"Soaring" - My Words And The Inspiration Behind Them

I wait
how to put into words, what I am receiving,
sounds that swirl around me, until I begin to sink into them,
such raw beauty, as the beat builds
and finally, I take flight.

Soaring,

Away from mundane distractions,
that eat away, at our artistic drive,
I feel the power,
within each gentle stroke,
this long forgotten desire within me,
awoke

Held,

sweet tenderness,
as I embrace the subtle changes,
that propel me forward,
ripples of love,
that wash over me
as I lose myself in this moment
such heightened awareness ,

held

as everything slips away
from me
and yet when I breathe in,
such joy,
I bask in the sheer beauty of it all,

Soaring

Before I know it, evening has fallen and my truck begins to feel very full. My girls still have energy they need to release and it is too cold to be outdoors. So I take some headphones and look for some music that I can listen to, as I take some time for myself . I look through a list of some of the artists I like and Misha Mishenko, a musician/composer from Russia jumps out at me.

His music is so moving, making me want to cry, not out of sadness, but out of appreciation. Such music is a gift!

Every time I listen to him and especially this album, the words just pour out of me. It stirs up so many emotions within me, as his music transports me. The whole arrangement, taking me on a epic journey. Into some very deep and dark places, but always, it makes me soar.

Every time I listen to it, I hear something new. With so many sounds, woven so well together, you really need to listen to it, a few times, so that you get to experience it fully. When I get a good sound system, this is one album I want to hear full blast.

I feel so alive, just as I do when I am dancing. Music connects me to a higher source, within myself, within us all. It is so powerful and transformative.

So I feel held and I soar, gliding along, through deep canyons, as each instrument carves a clear pathway for me, one I am so eager to follow. That takes me to the highest point, and then down, into the depths of the dark, plummeting down, held. Until I soar once again.

I didn't know this artist, now I've added her to my playlist I really like her and you're right her music transports you and makes you experience intense emotions.

It's a beautiful thing to take time for yourself, maybe listen to music and let yourself be carried away by the emotions it causes.
I think it's a good practice that should enter a person's habits.

Thanks for the nice post and for letting me find out Misha Mishenko.

a Big hug!🤗

Very nice poem and written as always, words and music I think they go hand in hand with each other, the poem is powerful we have to fly high to clear the mind for a while and the song just spectacular, a work of art, I like Russian music but I had not known this particular artist, listening to it makes my skin crawl, very good source of inspiration, another nice image as always, greetings and thanks for the great album of Misha Mishenko.
