Ren, Keeping It Real And Hitting US With Some Hard Truths

Ever since I first heard Ren's music, (when Hi Ren first came out) I couldn't help but go down the Ren rabbit hole. ( Yes it is a thing) Where I soon discovered that he is a musical genius. Writing and producing all of his songs, with no two ever really sounding the same. He can sing rap, play multiple instruments and is an amazing story teller. And to top it all off, he has made some of the best videos I have seen in a long, long time. His level of creativity is off the charts.

He writes openly about his struggle with mental and physical health, as he spend years being misdiagnosed. Being put on a huge amount of medication, that ust created more problems. He also spend too many years confided to his room, where his health deteriorated. This struggle though, was the catalyst for his creativity. Being stuck in bed, he needed an outlet, writing and music provided just that.

He is so real. His music is confronting, there is no red tinted glasses with Ren. He speaks truth, painful truths about our society and how it has let us down. How we as humans, have let one another down. These are things that need to be said and because he is an independent artist, he can say them. Which is another truth for us to face, how much of what we watch, what we hear is controlled.

That is why I chose these three songs. Money Game, Money Game Part 2 and Money Game Part 3. If you want to explain to anyone how the human world is being run, then play them these three songs. All of them connected, but each one different and unique. With each one really showcasing Ren's talent.

Money Game. His words paint such a real picture, of the world today. Of how we are being controlled, how fear is being constantly pushed on us. Working so well to keep us divided as everything continues on repeat. As we all pray a part in this money Game.

Then there is the video, which pulled me right in. Its more than a music video, it's theatre. Telling us all a very important story, one to try and make us more aware. There is nothing gentle about it and there shouldn't be.

Money Game Part 2. This one has a much more uplifting sound, but the message is just as important. It starts straight off the bat, telling us exactly what the world is like today.
Then he explains business economics in a nursery rhyme. Genius! It's one of the best nursery rhymes I have heard. I've played it for my eldest daughters, as it is explained so cleverly. Ren sings on this one and he sings really well at that. It has such a catchy chorus, one that I always catch myself singing out loud. My girls too.

Money Game 3. This is Ren's latest release and it is a Masterpiece really. This is Ren in storyteller mode, something he is exceptionally good at. He also plays the piano. He wrote all the music including the strings piece, which is from Parts 1 and 2. With the lyrics being on point as usual, ringing home some hard truths.

The video, just adds to it. One that looks quite simple, but is anything but, it completes the story. The whole thing to me, is a piece if art. Especially, as it has such an important message. One that could only be conveyed by an independent artist, really hammering home, how the world is today.
