REFLECTION - A MUSIC THAT TOUCHES THE SOUL. DREEM-WOTW S3 R3
When I was much younger, I usually watch a soap opera called Super story, there was a particular one that really caught my attention that year and the edition of that Super story was called Sister Sister, it was acted by some twin popularly called Osadipe twins they were really identical twins that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them, this soap opera made my younger days memorable, maybe it was because as at the time that soap opera was aired , the twins were also young which made me have a lasting memory of them.

Then a after a few years as I got older and the twins also grew up, I noticed they shifted their choice of career into singing, though I never paid any attention to their music I was always happy seeing them on screen, looking good together, this image of them together always made me like how they performed their music either it was on a live show or recorded, I was happy that they were part of my childhood.
After some few years passed, a shocking news came up, at first I couldn't believe what I heard , until I heard it from a reliable source that one of the twins died due to an illness.
And then a tribute song was sang by the younger twin I had to download the song that year when it came out so I could listen it. It was possibly one of the most emotionally powerful songs I've ever heard - "Reflection" created by the musical duo Osadipe Twin. The song as I heard was a tribute to the twin who had died.
As soon as the smooth, mournful notes and harmonies flowed through my headphones, tears started welling up involuntarily. The lyrics recount little special moments growing up together as twins - getting matching outfits, sharing secrets at sleepovers. She reflects on feeling utterly lost without her sister, best friend and closest reflection by her side after a lifetime inseparable.
Her words delicately describe the extreme sorrow and how she continues finding signs of her twin all around her daily like a lingering spirit.
Saying this sisterly musical bond and tribute pierced my heart is an understatement. The personal devotion captured in "Reflection" overflowed with such painful beauty, I cried for nearly half an hour with total abandon.
Why do I choose this song
I choose this song because of the deep feelings shared through it by the singer, here I leave you with the lyrics of the songand also because of the great impact it had on me, it is a very touching song that shows the bonds of sisters even in death.
Inspiration from this song
It might seem strange for me to enthusiastically recommend a song rooted in such devastating tragedy and loss. But I chose to share "Reflection" publicly for a very intentional reason - this song embodies the deepest, purest model of truly loving and cherishing another person.
In a society that idolizes fame, wealth and individual success so strongly, genuine selfless love often falls by the wayside as a priority. But hearing the sisters' song and message restored my faith profoundly in love's ability to create meaning and overcome even our finite fleshly forms. Long after death physically separated these twins eternally.

When the emotions are deep inside, the words become more effective. The genuine love of the singer for her sister made the song more powerful.

What a tragedy, she must have missed the presence of her twins sister so much to sing such an emotional song. I heard of the twins but I never knew they were into music or one died along the line. Hopefully she finds peace in her twin sister's absence.
