Magic moments from Burt Bacharach for Three Tune Tuesday
Good day dear mates! Christmas closer and closer coming to us and I think all of you heard song Magic moments which sang Perry Como. But I think not all of you know that this song was created by Burt Bacharach.
Burt Freeman Bacharach was born in 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in Forest Hills. He is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential figures of 20th-century popular music.
His mother was an amateur painter and songwriter and encouraged Bacharach to practice piano, drums and cello during his childhood.
Herb Alpert from A&M records also well known as one from Tijuana brass once asked Burt to write song for his marriage day. And Burt wrote to him song This Guy's in Love with You
Also this song was resinged by Faith no more. Just listen and answer whose version do you like more?
If to talk about words to Burt's songs than we should to keep in mind that more than 50 years Burt Bacharach collaborated with Hal David exactly he worked on tunes like Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head
Another song which has been written by this men # What the world needs now is love sweet love. Just listen it. They wrote it almost two years. First was created this musical hook and Hal didn't know ho to deal with it but then solution was found. Also in this song a lot of rhythmic tricks. In some moments song becomes faster and then slower. There are so different changes and accords in this song that sometimes it looks like it was built from different songs in one great hit!
It is also worth mentioning that Bacharach was an accompanist and arranger in Marlene Dietrich's orchestra. And this contact can be traced through Bacharach’s work until the end of the 70s. Dietrich spoke exceptionally warmly and sublimely about Burt . They toured the world for a long time. But Bacharach realized that he wanted to be creative on his own and left the orchestra. After the Musical "Promises Promises" Bacharach became very popular and in demand in cinema. There were more than a hundred productions of this musical and it ran for a long time. But let's move further. I've already mentioned song Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head.
This song was performed by B J Thomas and song was written for movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. For this song Bacharach received Oscar as an author of the best soundtrack. And song itself was recognized as the best song.
Another one song which you can know from movies is The Look of Love was sang by Dusty Springfield and you can heard it in Casino Royal . And of course all of us saw Home alone, there you can also find music from Burt Bacharach.
Dynamically complex compositions. Remember the intro of song Close to you alone is worth it, usually performed on a piano, guitar or ukulele. It's different for different performers, but that doesn't make it any less charming. This, as they say, represents such a development of music and harmony. At first, it’s as if they’re leading a fur coat to the floor - quietly, quietly, and then the theme develops. I repeat, all the music is dynamically complex and all this fits into 5 minutes. And at the same time conveys human emotion. To feel this dramaturgy, you should sit at home in front of a clearly built acoustic system and enjoy the music.
Song Close to you was written in 60ss But The Carpenters sang it in 70ss. It seems to me that in any country in the world on any jazz radio you will hear this song, if not in the original, then in someone else’s performance or arrangement. In 2 or 3 hours you will definitely get this song.
Also I want to mention that music of Bacharach influenced the work of my favorite group Tequilajazzz. As example their song Меня здесь нет (men`ya zdes net) or in english I'm not here. In the beginning you can hear guitar quote from the music of group Pixies, but also there you can find quote from Bacharach song I'll never fall in love again.
Also singer and frontman of Tequilajazzz E Fedorov sings in groups Optimystica Orchestra and Zorge. So in songs of this groups you can find music of Burt Bacharach. As example song Eva and Adam or Mafia.
Song Mafia by Optimystica Orchestra
This song is present in the repertoire of both these groups, but the way it is performed gives a completely different feeling. In one case it is warm sadness, and in the other it is an energetic melody that encourages movement and action. Just compare them!
And finally Beatles sang a song of this grate person. And it was song Baby it's you.
In 2010s, a tribute to Bacharach's songs was released, featuring various artists and musicians. Bacharach died at the age of 94 in February 2023. But his work will forever remain with us!
I hope you enjoyed today's music selection, and travelling back to the future without leaving the Hive. 😎 The post goes for #threetunetuesday challenge run by @ablaze.

Yes, it does. I don't know how to describe my feelings when I hear it. But this old song will never be forgotten over time. Or perhaps it's because my heart is old-fashioned.😍🤗
