Good Music...
As a child who came from a Christian home, we were taught that only gospel music has good sounds, every other is categorized as bad.
Well, those were the lessons from a rooted African belief. Truth be told, we followed up those teachings as long as mom was present we wouldn't dance to hip hop since it was called “worldly”.
But then again, we did a different thing in Mom's absence, and that happened because of the sounds. Good sound is the foundation of any good music.
“Sound” in this context doesn't regard just instrument. The beats, rhymes..lines and voice all reflect the sound.
Take for install my country home, most popular music people dance to is mainly because of the beat and not the lyrics.
Once the beats play out for a few seconds or a little more the interest of the majority is captivated already. However that doesn't classify it as aall-aroundgood music.
This is me saying a good sounds could still produce bad music and this could be a result of the voice or lyrics of the song. I'm not a music expert as a matter of fact, I'm more drawn to songs of the 90s and early 2000s than the present. Just like every other person, I dance to the beats of today's music but wouldn't give credit to so many as “A good song”.
I call music good when the beat(sound) is the foundation, the voice is the body and then the lyrics as the conclusion Good to one of my favorite songs ” HE LIVES IN YOU” BY ” DIANA ROSE” passed it.
The beat from the song is Capturing and then her voice down to the lyrics… It's one song I could play over and over again and couldn't get tired of listening.
It could serve as a danceable song as well as a conviction at least that's what it does to me maybe another could read it differently.
Every sound is heard by the ears, the ones with good beats are pleasing to the mind but not all penetrate the soul as credit could only be given to good music.

This is like a golden song, no matter the age, it will stay as good music. I also love old songs more. Tho I listen to today's music still, for me, nothing beats the good old song we had back then. I will ho back and listen to it no matter what.
Yeah, i love your description of "Golden"❤ Diana's song is deserving of that title✨✨
Thanks for reading through🤗

In our nation is the beat people notice as being a good song but then it goes beyond that like you've mentioned the sound the rhythm and then the lyrics, a good song should comprise all that.

The sad reality of Nigeria music industry is that much importance is placed on the sound of a music more than the lyrics. Music is meant to communicate a message but when the message is lost in the sound frankly it just noise. This particular song "he lives in you" has been around for more than a decade with other artist coming up with different versions of it. And that is the quality of a good music, when the lyrics resonates with the audience it becomes eternal sound.
