Hola querida comunidad, quiero ser parte de esta nueva iniciativa promovida por #humanitas, y que trata acerca de la migración. Como percibimos la migración, ya sea como migrantes o como nos afecta este hecho social a nuestras vidas. Vivo en la ciudad de Cúcuta, este es un ejemplo claro de como la migración afecta a la sociedad, y en este lugar se vive este fenómeno social de manera diferente, ya que por ser una ciudad frontera, es el puente entre Venezuela y Colombia. La mayoría de migrantes venezolanos pasan y conocen esta ciudad.

Hello dear community, I want to be part of this new initiative promoted by #humanitas, and which deals with migration. How we perceive migration, either as migrants or how this social fact affects our lives. I live in the city of Cúcuta, this is a clear example of how migration affects society, and in this place this social phenomenon is experienced in a different way, since being a border city, it is the bridge between Venezuela and Colombia. Most Venezuelan migrants pass through and get to know this city.

Colombia y Venezuela son países hermanos, y creo que por esta razón la migración de venezolanos a Colombia se vive de manera diferente, ya que existe un cariño de hermanos y una mezcla cultural entre estos dos países. Antes de la crisis en Venezuela los colombianos veían en el vecino país una oportunidad de trabajo y una manera de mejorar sus ingresos, ya sea ganando en bolívares que en una época llego a valer el doble que el peso colombiano, o comerciando mercancía entres los dos países. Recuerdo mucho que mi madre trabajaba en San Cristóbal, una ciudad frontera de Venezuela, y su sueldo eran 30 mil bolívares diarios, y al cambio eso era el doble en pesos, un sueldo muy bueno para esa época, en ese tiempo mi madre era la migrante, era muy bien recibida la mano de obra colombiana en Venezuela, y creo que es una excelente oportunidad para ser recíprocos con nuestros vecinos venezolanos.

Sin embargo esa xenofobia es parte de la hipocresía de la sociedad, porque para lavar baños, recoger basura y hacer trabajos dignos que son catalogados como trabajo sucio, para eso si sirven los extranjeros. Es momento que la humanidad de un salto hacia la evolución y nos veamos como seres humanos, como ciudadanos del mundo y dejemos de categorizar por raza, lugar de nacimiento y status. Por dentro todos somos iguales, es un mismo latido de corazón y un único color de sangre.
