Hello to all the community.

I am delighted to be back and participate in the #278 initiative that, every weekend, brings us @galenkp, with different, suggestive themes that bring us much to our growth.

This week I will participate in the theme that is dedicated to music because as a manifestation of art it brings me a lot and I enjoy it.

Every weekend I look for, among the options, those that have to do with the presentations of singers or musical groups, because music is the most beautiful expression of beauty, because it can express any feeling of us humans.

On this occasion the proposal was very special because we attended the "Festival del Pregón".
I must say that it caught my attention and we attended more to see one of the musicians we admire more than anything else. However, the experience was very good and we enjoyed it very much.

For those of us who live in Cuba and in other countries, the pregón has been used since the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

In our country the pregón is part of Cuban folklore and culture because it is one of our most deeply rooted popular traditions. This pregonero was an essential person who shouted loudly the products he was commercializing and had several ways of expressing his pregón. Some of them became so popular that several Cuban musicians have made musical compositions for them and put them at the service of the dancing public.

The objective of the Folklore Festival was to pay tribute to this activity and to those who show it off.

Before entering the Cine-Teatro America, where the festival was held, a tribute was made with young people who staged and turned into music, dance and art different expressions of our most popular pregones.

Afterwards, we entered the cinema-theater and began to enjoy an activity in which music was the main protagonist, but other cultural manifestations were also present, such as theater and painting.

Afterwards, different musical groups passed through the stalls of the theater to pay tribute to each of our most popular pregones, such as "El Manisero", "Los Tamalitos de Olga", "El Yerbero" or "Frutas del Caney".

Towards the end of the activity, all the musicians who participated in the festival came together in a tasty conga, a very contagious Cuban musical manifestation that made not only the musicians and artists dance, but also all of us who were in the movie theater.

When the curtain closed, we were left with the desire to continue listening to good music and to continue listening to the stories of the pregones through the instruments and voices of the musicians present at the festival.
