Hola amigos, dándole continuidad a la serie de solos de guitarra, en esta oportunidad quiero presentarles el solo del tema "Year of the cat". Esta canción fue escrita por el cantante y compositor Al Stewart; el álbum se grabó en enero de 1975 . La canción se caracteriza por sus largas secciones instrumentales; incluyendo un solo de piano, guitarra acústica, guitarra eléctrica distorsionada y saxofón.

Yo saqué este solo "de oído", de manera que es probable que hayan detalles que lo difencien del solo original, no obstante, a mi me gusto como quedó y decidí grabarlo sin investigar mucho más. Curiosamente para disminuir la ganancia de la guitarra opte por bajarle volumen a la guitarra como tal, no al amplificador, un experimento un tanto arriesgado ciertamente pero creo funcionó bien.

Hello friends, giving continuity to the series of guitar solos, this time I want to present you the solo of the song "Year of the cat". This song was written by singer/songwriter Al Stewart; the album was recorded in January 1975 . The song is characterized by its long instrumental sections; including a piano solo, acoustic guitar, distorted electric guitar, and saxophone.

I took this solo "by ear", so it is likely that there are details that differentiate it from the original solo, however, I liked how it turned out and decided to record it without investigating much more. Curiously, to reduce the gain of the guitar, I chose to lower the volume of the guitar as such, not the amplifier, a somewhat risky experiment certainly but I think it worked well.
