Why I absolutely love this community is very simple: the creativity in this community is very high, the writing prompts are different each week and they surely don't lack any creativity. Sometimes it doesn't resonate with my current mood but I can see that these prompts are original and this is what I love. Lately, I have been checking the new prompts weekly and also felt inspired several times to publish creative writing which I had not done in ages until I found my way back to the community and for that alone, I salute you! It's great when you feel a bit blocked to write something creative and find back inspiration from original writing prompts almost every week when you check the fresh content.

Coffee anthem contest

I rarely join contests on Hive as I write for myself and usually not specifically because a task is proposed for Hivers to fulfill, there are loads of others who will join those but I have to feel the inspiration instantly to join a Hive contest. Reading the coffee anthem contest sparked my interest right away and while still reading and having no clue what to write exactly, I felt excitement and couldn't wait to get started. I am a little late entering my anthem so I doubt I can reach enough votes but hey, creativity can't be forced, lol.

The music

First, I had to decide which song to use as a guideline for my lyrics and this didn't take m more than 20 minutes to find the right one. I searched for the best coffee-themed songs and bumped into this one from Ella Mae Morse called "Forty Cups of Coffee" which was a new song to me.

Forgive me for not finding an instrumental version, if you know where to find it, let me know so I can add it. Now that you've heard the original, I'm going to share the lyrics I wrote on this music, I hope you enjoy it as I have heard the song probably hundreds of times while editing the lyrics to make the words as fitting to the song as possible. Here we go!

I've called the song "The Coffee Connoisseur" and although it doesn't fit the music of "Forty Cupc Of Coffee" perfectly, keep in mind that I'm not a songwriter. I hope you like it either way! Sometimes you have to swing with the words a bit to make them fit the music, give it a try, please. Don't forget to play the song for the best experience.

I hope you liked it or at least did not hate it lol. I know some parts ask for a playful way of pronouncing the words on the music to make it fit but I'm happy with the end result after going back and forward with the words 100s of times. I now also love this song, so it's added to my playlist.

Excellent creativity to make your anthem based on a beautiful song. I really liked the lyrics and while I was reading that jazzy sound accompanied the reading. Delighted with your anthem.

Haha, I see what you mean, luckily for me, I didn't even hear the actual lyrics anymore and was totally focused on my own lyrics while blocking out what she sang. At some point I found out I had one paragraph too much so I had to listen to the original and discovered he finally came home :)

Yeah definitely - when some people get them all the time (often for dubious reasons) it keeps us going to get at least one once in a while. Saying that, i'm grateful for the support I recieve.

Likewise, I also think it helps to write for yourself and not for the rewards. Of course, we all hope for good rewards but I only write if I feel like doing so, and when I can't for some reason I don't feel bothered. I still feel excited though when big votes come in, even after these years :)

There are totally times when we feel blocked as you say and we have that desire to make very creative content, however we always find that inspiration in the little things, for example, when I have a small cup of coffee I always find that inspiration where I didn't think I would find it. never and exactly with this I mean that I am coffee lovers.
