P.I.M.P in Saxony; starting the year working on Break the Folk
Hey 3speakers!
We started the year developing our new show Break the Folk. The show is a collaboration with Award-winning German Dance crew The Saxonz and is a unique mix of Folk Music and Hip Hop/Breaking. The show concept is far deeper than just bringing two worlds together, but seeks to bring the rural and urban cultures at eye level. Regardless of where you come from, most of us face similar challenges. We have similar motivations and ultimately we bleed the same red. We hope that a subtle message of unity and a call to reengage with "the other side" can help heal some of the strong divisions that many of our societies feel today.
And while the show carries a positive message, it is also a lot of fun and excitement. Energetic music featuring original tunes and remakes of famous songs with acrobatics and the athleticism of the dancers. What's not to love!?

haha yea! They are super fun to work with. I've been kicked before some years ago when working on a show in Berlin with Flying Steps. Noone hurt, but was a real scare at first!
