A Cosmic Journey atop Glastonbury Tor: Crafting Our Latest Progressive Folk Odyssey

Hey Hivers and Music Lovers!

In the heart of Somerset, amidst the verdant landscapes and the mystical whispers of the past, we, a collective of wandering bards and storytellers, embarked on an extraordinary musical journey. This adventure wasn't just any ordinary day in the life of our progressive folk fusion band; it was a profound pilgrimage to one of the most spiritually resonant sites in England: the Glastonbury Tor. With its enigmatic presence and historical allure, the Tor stands as a beacon of inspiration for those drawn to the mystical and the magical. For us, it served as the perfect backdrop for composing and filming our latest work, a piece we believe encapsulates the essence of our travels and the stories we've gathered along the road.

The natural resonance of the Tor is forever a part of my Instrument!

Our session atop Glastonbury Tor wasn't a decision made on a whim. The site, steeped in legends of Avalon and the mystical, has always intrigued us, its stories weaving seamlessly into the fabric of our music. The Tor, with its panoramic views and the ancient St. Michael's Tower standing guard, evokes a sense of connection to something greater, something beyond the reach of ordinary perception. It was here, in this place of power and peace, that we found the muse for our latest creation – a cosmic folk-inspired odyssey.

As the sun began its ascent, painting the sky with hues of gold and amber, we set up our instruments and recording equipment, each of us feeling the weight of the moment. The energy of the Tor, palpable and vibrant, enveloped us, guiding our hands and our hearts as we delved into the creative process. Our music, known for weaving the essence of travel and the archetypes we encounter into harmonious narratives, found a new depth amidst the Tor's majesty.

The session was unlike any other we've experienced. Each note played and each word penned felt like a tribute to the spirits of the land, to the tales of old that linger in the air. Our music, a blend of folk traditions and progressive elements, transformed into a vessel for the stories of Avalon, carrying with it the hopes, dreams, and reveries of those who walked this sacred ground before us.

Have to give thanks to the legendary John Mason for the photography. Every time we take pictures with him, he captures majestic moments.

The result of our session atop Glastonbury Tor is a piece that we hold dear, a reflection of our journey both as musicians and as seekers of the ethereal. This cosmic folk-inspired odyssey, set to be released later in the week, is more than just a song; it's an invitation to explore the depths of one's own spirit, to embark on a pilgrimage in search of the mystical within the mundane.

We are thrilled at the prospect of sharing this creation with you on Hive, and perhaps, seeing it become a part of the Vibes Week 6 competition!

Stay tuned for the release, and may our paths cross in the spirit of music and discovery.

I've been past there, but never been up the Tor. I'll have to make the 'pilgrimage' some day. I'm no believer in magic, but places can have a special atmosphere.

Magic is a difficult one for us too. Rational brain believe it improbable, but there is something to be said about the mysticism of certain places. The Tor is one of those places, it's special.
