Photography - and some Yardbirds

avatar

Now back and settled in my homeland... and back in my old town. A new house takes a lot of effort to make it a HOME. Well for me it gets a lot more homely once we have birds back in the yard. So for me first priority is establishing a garden with bird life and my bench in my positive pit.

The above are now regulars and we wake up every morning with a cacophony of bird sounds. Music indeed.

Talking of music, I learnt something new while preparing this blog post. I LOVE Led Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused (yes, below) but had no idea that the Yardbirds had actually penned this.

The Yardbirds - Dazed and Confused

I was recently very excited to see a new visitor to our yard.... and rushed in to get my camera. I have no idea what bird this is. My first thought was a Flycatcher but I am unable to find any Flycatchers with this appearance. I doubt is from the Shrike family as these usually have a 'hook' on the top beak....

Actually looking closely I believe this could be a very young Fiscal Shrike???????. I would love some authorative person to help me out here

As promised, Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused performed in 1970 ....

Thanks for stopping by. It has been a lot of hard work since getting back, as well as a very impoverishing act... so I will be blogging more now in anticipation of that bull market we are all anticipating and hopefully Hive token to in excess of $1...

Stay safe, stay free and keep stacking those sats

Namaste

And since a few monthy I try to get the craws used to me by calling them and feeding them wallnuts. But they are spoiled so it is hard to get their attention haha

Thanks for the support @sandymeyer .... and certainly for the beer. It is ridiculously hot here (just over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.... 39 degrees Celsius) and we just came back from European winter.
I would love to see some pics of your local birds.... you are in Switzerland??
