music - where were you when ....

avatar

we went for a long long long walk on the beach {rests between striking keys} ... and finally found a refuge for lunch. this was on the beach in a small commune called Cesane (Che' saano) and there was some seriously decent rock being played so my spirits lifted . The following track was playing and my good lady (slavedriver???) asked me .... where in your life were you when this was playing on radio stations?

Police - Message in a Bottle

So my question to you is ...."Where exactly were you in your life... not necessarily physically... but rather what stage / mental state?

OK, no more phisolophical stuff ... but rather a mood switch... i is tired and feel like some comfort music...

Third World - Try Jah Love

damn, i forgot how this gets my feet tapping... in my opinion a very underrated tune.

the next tune is dedicated to my energy levels ... and will be the last for this post

Rare Earth - I'm Losing You

again , have a happy easter... count every single blessing ... stay safe, stay free and continue stacking those sats.

{remembers manners} ... thanks for stopping by...much appreciated.

I don't know if I remember the second song but I suspect I was a child for all of them XD

Did you have a good fertility ritual period?

Did you have a good fertility ritual period?

very quiet here... did a lot of walking. back home we would have had more social times with friends and family. And you? Did the kids get to hunt for easter eggs?

The only times my kids go hunting for easter eggs now is if they're with they're younger cousins, and it would be to help them find the eggs rather than looking on their own XD

my kids are all mid to late teens

Sadly that didn't happen this time as my in-laws dropped around unexpectedly with my nephew (if we had known they were coming we might have organised an egg hunt for my nephew but it's also kind of dangerous to do at my house as the dog would likely find any that were either missed or any that had been hidden before anyone else could get to it and chocolate isn't great for dogs XD and in fairness to the outlaws they didn't know they were coming either).

It was an interesting one.

Thats a very good question, my mental state at the time of 'message in a bottle'. I was so young back then, well, kinda like 10 years of age. I suppose in a period of my life the most idiot and small things scratched my mind being at primary school age. Seeing problems where we as an adult can only think: Why was that a problem at all? Now as an adult, we have to deal with serious problems and issues. But you know, kids are kids. Being somewhat an outcast, but not really. Used to live in a boarding school (which I have done already for five years) and kinda learned to fight for myself. Noticing the differences between myself and plenty of others, but not really having long thoughts about it. Read books while others do whatever kids do. Got bored when others in the class needed a re-explanation of whatever the teacher had to say. Was ridiculed by some because of ... well, they never explained. For sure this period, I was already much in music, weekly watching this Top-Pop TV program in TV. NJOY Easter {SMILEY}

So reading between the lines you, yourself, I was an introverted gifted child {smile} with a penchant for books and music.

Must admit I have no experience of boarding school life .... I can imagine it is character building though {raises eyebrows in query}

You may be right. or maybe I'm just full of 💩 Who knows {LOL}

Boarding school has its upsides and its downsides. Upsides: no parents around. Even when they tell you when not doing this or that, or stop doing something the caretakers didn't like, we could say: You are not my parents, you have nothing to say about me. Some just said: If you don't change your behaviour, you are not allowed to stay over the weekend, you need to return to your parent's house. Well, that house was a floating and moving house, so the simple answer: You can't demand my parents to fetch me for the week, they are hundreds if not a thousand kilometres away, so try and get them to do that! {LOL} Some of the fun parts of boarding schools {LOL}
