Music - R.I.P Ozzy .... thank you for the memories.

Slowly but surely my childhood music legends are succumbing to father time. The most recent being the legendary Ozzy Osborne...

John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (3 December 1948 – 22 July 2025) was an English singer, songwriter and media personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness".[6]

Sixty Three yrs old and still rocking

I thought this was an appropriate concert to feature as it was in Birmingham on 05 July 2025 Ozzy performed for the last time ... at the Back to the Beginning concert. Ozzy grew up in Birmingham.

I was a mere pup of 9 years old when I first heard Black Sabbath's Masters of Reality and it is serendipitous that I have recently been doing 'aerobics' to that particular album many years later.... played extremely loud... mainly to mask my panting breath.

man, the energy and the crowd.... ohhhhh to have been able to experience this

Osbourne sold over 100 million albums, including his solo work and Black Sabbath releases.[7][8] He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006 and as a solo artist in 2024.

I have been absent for four months and it took this sad event to shake me out of my lethargy. Let's finish with one more from Ozzy's solo career... one of the best known...

Crazy Train Live

I hope this brought back as many good memories to you dear reader (and listener) as it did me.

Ozzy Osborne, enjoy your jamming sessions with BB, Lemmie, Jimmy and of course Janis...

Namaste
