BlockTunesDAO Hive Engine Witness Node Is LIVE! Updated Main Witness Too!

The @blocktunesdao is now running a Hive-Engine witness node! Currently, it's running on the older host that I have been using to get it started, but as I type this post, I am launching a new node on a new host so just waiting on it to catch up with the blockchain!

It's been an adventure in Hive Engine node land the last week. My main Hive Engine node that I have been running for some time decided it didn't want to keep up with the chain anymore. After troubleshooting, I started a new node on the same host with better storage speed, but that only helped a little, but was still having issues. Another witness using the same host was also having problems so I knew it was time to shop around.

I finally was able to get in and start running on Hetzner, which yes, I am taking a chance on these nodes, but man, it's worth the risk compared to some of these other data centers and the fees they are charging. My main node is running solid as a rock and the older host had been my backup, until today when I switched it over to the @blocktunesdao!

As of now it has hit 4 blocks and has earned a little bit of staked BEE tokens! The rewards, after server fees, will be added to the DAO revenue that will be paid out to $MUSIC and $BTUNES tokens holders.

I am excited to get this up and running so that we can finally start to get this platform off the ground as it should be!

Now that I am feeling more comfortable with running these nodes, my next step may be to go all in with a full on Hive witness pretty soon!
