Three Tune Tuesday with some Random Fun!
generated with ideogram.ai
Tuesday has come again meaning it's Three Tune Tuesday! This is always a fun day to hear all sorts of great music shared by Hive members all over the world. Most of the time when the day rolls around I'm usually clueless about what I'm going to post and today is no different. I started today by creating a new banner with AI, what do you think? It's amazing what can be generated with only a few words of direction and let it run wild! The background was the hardest to direct but I think it came out nicely.
The Offspring
Today I just decided to go with some fun music that I haven't heard in a long time. I think it was about six months ago when I shared some music by The Offspring and @bozz mentioned that his favorite song was "Want You Bad", and I realized I hadn't listened to that one in years. So today I decided to start things off with The Offspring. They are a band from Garden Grove, California in Orange County, not far from where I live by coincidence. They were a huge commercial success throughout the 90's and early 2000's and are still producing music today. But here's "Want You Bad".
Beastie Boys
Next up we have to go back in time a few years to the 1980's. Back to 1986 to be exact. The Beastie Boys were a band from New York City and had just launched their album "License To Ill." They were an interesting band that mixed multiple styles of music with rap. One of their first big hits was "(You Gotta Fight) For Your Right (To Party!)" and it soared through the charts and was played over and over on MTV. This is back in the day when MTV only played music videos unlike today... But that's another story... This is a fun song and video, enjoy:
Ugly Kid Joe
Last up I thought about a lot of different thing I could throw in. I was tempted to use Drop Dead Fred with "I'm Too Sexy" but opted against it. Considered something David Lee Roth post Van Halen, but decided against it. Then I realized I hadn't heard anything from Ugly Kid Joe in ages. They were a metal band in the early 1990's that produced some good music originating is Isla Vista, California. The one hit that everybody knows is of course "Everything About You". The song was even used in the movie Wayne's World, it has been a few years! Anyways here's "Everything About You":
That's going to wrap up my three song for the day. I hope you enjoyed the randomness!

Awesome selection of bands!😊
Living close to the Offspring, did you ever get the chance to see and hear them in person?
I have before but never in California. I didn't head down there until around 2005 and they had long moved onto more glamorous residences I'm sure!
The only ” claim to fame” I ever had, was sitting in the row in front of the band “ Herman’s Hermits” .
They kept putting their feet on my chair during a Beatles concert!🤔🙄
Some great choices that triggered fond memories of better days. I saw The Offspring in SoCal, and in Tokyo. Good times!
