When musicians tackle technical challenges together.

Yesterday, after school activities, I came back home to rest, and then after resting, I relaxed for some time before I went to church last night. The reason for going to church was because there was a proposed rehearsal that was meant to be among the choir members, and this happens once or twice. And the purpose of this rehearsal was for us to rehearse some new songs, do some new instrumental creations to songs, and also be able to bring up new ideas about music and many others.

Initially, as a musician, it is normal for you to be able to record yourself while playing so that you will be able to notice the difference in the mistakes you make while playing music. So this is what brought about our getting a medium sound card, which will be used to record everything done through the mixer and, most importantly, the music we do as a choir. We have actually been having some issues setting this up for some time, and we kept calling technicians to come and set it up for us, not knowing that it was actually something we could do by ourselves without getting anyone involved.

So we actually discovered this idea of setting up a sound card with a mixer and recording from a system when we went for an event some days back, and it was actually the same connection we used, but what was different was the fact that it was the year you Auxiliary on the mixer that was used to record sound, but we were putting it in another place, which someone has also done before, which we saw, but yesterday we decided to try it, and we were able to get the recording together with the sound card and the system settings.

When I noticed we got this done, I was very happy, as were the other guys that were with me in the technical room. We were all happy because, even though we had gone through a lot of stress doing that, we finally got it at the end. I'm on my quest to do something cool with music now. I discovered there is a way to connect your guitar with your system and get a nice sound without having an effect pedal. Not only that, but I will gladly share this in my next post when I finally get it done.
