Imagínate estar obsecionada con una canción y perderla porque nunca supiste cuál era la traducción de su nombre en tu idioma, o siquiera, cuál era el título del juego-origen porque solo existía 1 clip en YouTube en Japonés... Y NADA MÁS.
Imagine being obsessed with a song and losing it because you never knew what the translation of its name was in your language, or even, what the title of the game-origin was because there was only 1 clip on YouTube in Japanese... AND NOTHING ELSE.
Sin embargo y a pesar de la escasa información, esta canción tiene todo lo que te gusta, la escuchabas todo el tiempo, planeaste 1 sesión de fotos basada en su estética y hasta escribiste 1 presentación-guión Cosplay basada en ella... y se pierde sin remedio cuando te roban el teléfono y tu vieja laptop saca la tarjeta de "estoy cansado jefe".
However and despite the scant information, this song has everything you love, you listened to it all the time, planned 1 photoshoot based on its aesthetics and even wrote 1 Cosplay presentation-script based on it... and it's hopelessly lost when your phone is stolen and your old laptop pulls out the "I'm tired boss" card.

"Akaya Akashiya Ayakashi No" o su traducción "Of the Red, the Light, and the Ayakashi Tsuzuri" es el nombre del juego que siempre busqué y apenas logro encontrar; es una sensación agridulce que después de tantos años con "tu plato vacío" por esta obra, ahora encuentres un festín, siendo que ya esta disponible en la plataforma de STEAM.
"Akaya Akashiya Ayakashi No" or its translation "Of the Red, the Light, and the Ayakashi Tsuzuri" is the name of the game I was always looking for and can barely find; it is a bittersweet feeling that after so many years with "your plate empty" for this work, now you find a feast, being that it is already available on the STEAM platform.

En su página oficial puedes encontrar todos los datos técnicos con los que no pienso aburrirte aquí, aunque quizá te interese saber que la compositora de LA CANCIÓN QUE ME QUITO EL SUEÑO POR AÑOS es Shikata Akiko, la misma que interpreta el Opening de "Umineko"; también la galería donde puede apreciarse algunos personajes con mejor detalle no tiene pérdida... ah, siento que estoy soñando.

Me he tomado el día de hoy para leer con calma y recopilar información sobre esta obra. Hasta ahora, información interesante sería que esta basado en una serie de comics (LAS PORTADAS SON BELLISIMAS), tuvo adaptación a novela, también a CD drama (o AudioDrama) lo que es bastante admirable y habla muy bien de la trama, siendo que no cualquier historia pasa por tantas adaptaciones exitosamente.
I have taken today to read calmly and gather information about this work. So far, interesting information would be that it is based on a comic book series (THE COVERS ARE BEAUTIFUL), had a novel adaptation, also a CD drama (or AudioDrama) which is quite admirable and speaks very well of the plot, since not every story goes through so many successful adaptations.

Ahora te estarás preguntando, "¿qué tiene de especial esta canción?, ¿por qué tanto alboroto?" ~ Bueno, el tópico que desde niña siempre me ha fascinado es lo sobrenatural (¿espíritus? ¿fantasmas? ¿demonios? ¿dioses? ¡si a todo!), me gusta el folklore japonés y todo lo que tiene que ver con sus leyendas, deidades y dioses, tambien soy una otaku "de segunda generación", lo que quiere decir que crecí con marcada influencia de la estética de las series anime de los 80, 90 e inicios del 2000s.
Now you're probably wondering, "what's so special about this song?". Well, the topic that has always fascinated me since I was a child is the supernatural (spirits? ghosts? demons? gods? yes to everything!), I like Japanese folklore and everything that has to do with their legends, deities and gods, I am also a "second generation" otaku, which means that I grew up with a strong influence of the aesthetics of the anime series of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s.

Mezcla con eso un gusto por el teatro kabuki, por el teatro chino y por el cine hindú de los 50s. Así, la música o canciones que "parecen contarte una historia" y que cuentan con múltiples y diferentes capas de emoción, son una de mis mas profundas debilidades; es el tipo de canción ideal para coreografiar y causar impacto en escasos 1 o 2 minutos a lo mucho de interpretación... detalle que casualmente cae como anillo al dedo cuando de presentaciones Cosplay se trata.
Mix with that a taste for kabuki theater, Chinese theater and Hindi cinema of the 50s. So, music or songs that "seem to tell you a story" and that have multiple and different layers of emotion, are one of my deepest weaknesses; it is the ideal type of song to choreograph and make an impact in just 1 or 2 minutes at most of interpretation... a detail that coincidentally falls like a glove when it comes to Cosplay presentations.
Asi, "Akakakushi" (Hidden Red), es la clase de canción por la que es imposible que no enloquezca: Tiene un intro que es una aguja para los nervios, después una voz suave que hace de bálsamo para ese "primer susto" pero que te sumerge inmediatamente en una atmosfera mística, cambia a un preludio que antesala un pico de emoción que no sabes si será bueno o malo, pero resulta ser un pulso musical vertiginoso, melancólico y poético, para terminar como en desasosiego, y todo con un ritmo en el que podría utilizar abanicos, sombrillas, telas, o mis manos para contar una historia trágica o heroica, ¡TENGO TANTAS IDEAS JUSTO EN ESTE MOMENTO!.
So, "Akakakushi" (Hidden Red), is the kind of song that is impossible not to freak out to: It has an intro that's a needle for your nerves, then a soft vocal that acts as a balm for that "first scare" but immediately plunges you into a mystical atmosphere, switches to a prelude that preludes a peak of emotion that you don't know if it will be good or bad, but it turns out to be a vertiginous musical pulse, melancholic and poetic, to end as if in uneasiness, and all with a rhythm in which I could use fans, umbrellas, fabrics, or my hands to tell a tragic or heroic story, I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS JUST AT THIS MOMENT!.
