Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!

Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...

It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!

Did you survive Halloween?

Today in the UK of course if the fifth of November and Guy Fawkes night so explect plenty of fireworks!

I was listening to the radio and on came a song which is not in my ttt today however it was from this male artist, who I think just has a fluffing awesome voice.

Today my post is a George Ezra spooktacular

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 180 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Kendrick Lamar IV and concept albums for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 178 - win 6 HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

Where to start

He has released three albums but I have a sneaky feeling these three tunes will all be from the second album, it depends on my mind as I write this!

So don't blame me if you don't like them, blame my mind haha

George Ezra - Hold My Girl

George Ezra has released three albums

  • Wanted on Voyage (2014)
  • Staying at Tamara's (2018)
  • Gold Rush Kid (2022)

We were living in Spain when he released his first, so it was not until we wer back in the UK in 2018 did I notice him and his tunes!

Hold My Girl was initially released as the second promotional single from Ezra's second studio album Staying at Tamara's on 9 March 2018 but later selected to be the album's fourth single and released to radio on 28 September 2018.

George Ezra - Paradise (Glastonbury 2019)

Yes so I was right this and the other two songs are from his second album which has a wee story to it.

When he finished touring his debut album Wanted on Voyage in December 2016 he realised he needed to write another record.

So he fluffed off to Barcelona for a month, and rather than booking a hotel or guest house he found a stranger on the Internet whose name was Tamara.

She was renting her spare room and he stayed there. It probably helped that all her friends were all musicians and artists

"There was a point about halfway through the trip where I was like, this trip has proved to be really important ... and the album's name (Staying at Tamara's) came to me like that. I love it."

George Ezra - Shotgun

This was the first George Ezra song I heard when he reburst onto the scene six years ago in 2018.

I never put the voice coming out of him!

Him and Ragnbone man seemed to appear on the radio at the same time and were everywhere!

But when I heard Shotgun I was totally hooked to his songs!

It was his third single off his second album and his first UK Number 1...

Which was your favourite George Ezra tune? Or is it not one I played?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Thanks for visiting!

Oh wow! This seems more in the times. No more old fashioned Mr? 👀

Hold My Girl sounds like something I’d cry to. Listen… “Give me a minute to hold my girl” 🥹 gosh!!! “I’ve got time, I’ve got love …” ohhh I’ll cry. This is beautiful Eddie … “Be the place to rest your head” added to my playlist. This is beautiful 🥹 wow. And I’m teary eyed 😂

Okay! This second one is shake my booty worthy!!! Hear that! Woooohooo! I love when I get to add songs like these to my long list. Ohhhh woooo! That low thrum of voices and the crowd!!! I want!!! Sooooo coool wooohoooo

Eddie! Where have these songs been all my life!!! Shot gun is my favourite!!! All time from this. Wow!!!!

Hehe I am glad you like them Deraa. I had a feeling you would like them. Of course you know what I think of in Hold my Girl.
And yes my favourite is Shotgun. It really is a brilliant album.
But his voice and his face didn't match for me at first.
I told you i love good music, so yes this is not oldschool but I love it!

I didn't really recognize the name, but as soon as I heard the voice I was like oh yeah, that guy. I've never seen him before and I honestly didn't know he was white. I never would have guessed as you said!

I don't know why I didn't know George Ezra: He has an amazing voice! Those voices that sound good while we're riding in the car, when we get home after a long day at work or when we're at the bar drinking an ice cold beer. I like him, I also loved all the songs, especially Hold My Girl. Nice selection, my friend. Regards

He really is a fantastic singer and his voice is utterly amazing.
He is the type of singer that even if you did not understand English you would want to listen to!

He has a great voice, I didn't recognize the name at all though. But when I heard one of the songs I have heard before. He's great! I bet you miss living in Spain as far as the weather goes!

Yeah the voice is unmissable, once you know the name then you will always know his songs.
Ah Spain was a funny one for the weather, 20 years ago it was perfect.
I lived and worked in the South North and Madrid.
When we went back and lived in Andalucia near Malaga I was shocked, it is hotter in the summer and in the winter it is much colder and wetter.
Then you had the floods that killed over 200 this week.
So yes 20 years ago I loved the weather. Now not really. I think in another 20 years the way we are going the UK will be like Spain was.
