Noddy Holder a madman as are Slade! Got to love their songs and the royalties they get from that one Christmas song is what kept them going for so long!

In keeping with the Santa costume theme, I will round off this three tune Christmas special with a song from one of my favourite bands, and also one of the most underrated Christmas songs ever!

Tune 3 The Kinks - Father Christmas

Father Christmas give us some the money I love the lyrics in all The Kinks songs, and Father Christmas doesn't disappoint!

The message in the song is as relevant now as it was then!

Hehe, Super Ed! Santa drinks whisky lol.
Santa in Venezuela also drinks whisky. You know we are one of the countries outside of Scotland that consumes the most whisky per capita, jeje. Although I think the figures have dropped a bit due to the economic crisis.

All three songs are new to me. I like them all, but my favorite is Santa's A Scotsman πŸŽ…πŸŽ„.

I agree about the Kinks; they're one of my goto bands when I need a pick me up. There are about half a dozen songs I keep a listen-out for on the radio every year, and this is one of them. I was actually just discussing this one with one of my boys just the other day when he was bemoaning that Christmas songs "are all feel good and happiness." Well, son, have a listen to this one. Only the Kinks could get away with a corner Santa getting mugged.

Santa is of course drinking a bottle of Bucky in the video!! Many's a bottle I've had over the years, it is very popular with students and Galwegians in general here in Ireland. The song is good craic and I never heard it before, gas video too.

The Kinks - Father Christmas -- It's a wonder that one doesn't make it onto more play lists, it's a good jingle.
