RIP Tina Turner for me you will always be Simply The Best
Hello Hello Hivians
If you know me, then you know I support Rangers Football Club, indeed my normal Hello Hello greeting is from a Rangers song.
I rarely goto matches now, I leave for the younger ones to enjoy the atmosphere that comes from going to Ibrox Park and being amongst the other fifty thousand fans.
I had a season ticket in the nineties and that was our most successful spell.
Before the big TV money and the English Premier League became number one.
Do you know we signed the goalkeeper of the England national team, their centre half and captain and on and on.
Yeah the glory years, nine domestic league triumphs in a row.
This is what I saw during these years and this is what I heard, have a listen
I think I have listened to twenty maybe more versions of Simply The Best and Tina Turner since I learned last night she passed away, and I am sure I will be listening to 20 more.
Do you believe in fate, or coincidences or something ... I definitely believe in the something, and when I saw a comment from my wonderful fellow night owl @beeber saying that she had posted Tina Turner Memorial in her community then I just knew I had to write my own wee memorial for someone that brought me so many memories and will continue to do so long after she has passed.
Ladies and Gentleman ... Miss Tina Turner
I am listening to this Greatest Hits album as I type this, and it is so apt that The Best is opening the album.
Goosebumps as I trawl through YouTube seeing so many matches I was at where she is on the big screens and we singing along with her.
A true legend and the accolades for her will keep rolling in.
83 years young Tina Turner thank you for the memories.
Fate well for the @dreemport challenge I was not going to do them, but this happened and so I am writing this and watery eyes. Mrs T will tell you I don't cry, she only has seen it two times. Both in 2011 at my parents funeral, so yes Tuna Turner is now someone on History that had a profound affect on my life.
Now thanks to Tina, right now I am thinking of the matches I was at with my father and even he was singing along with her.
Thank you Miss Tina Turner :)
RIP Tina Turner for me you will always be Simply The Best

Tina was hot! She could rock it for sure.
She certainly was Joe
The Rangers video clip! What an amazing clip and beautiful massive karaoke, it bought a tear to my eyes, as did your first video which I'm listening right now. It's just so powerful and uplifting. She shall be missed.
It was unbelievable, I remember I took Mrs T for the first time and she was blown away, 50,000 people all singing along, yeah like a massive karaoke once a fortnight for nine months of the year.
Such an amazing song with her voice to get crowds going.
Truly missed she will be.
Great memories, yes thats what Tinas music is forever connected with for our generation dear Ed. In fact I didnt listen often within the last decades, gut now strolling through YouTube I realize all this.
Listening to your best of list while writing. You know what? Hearing those tunes feels a little bit like "coming home" ❤️
I have always listened to her Beeber as she was still a huge influence on our club and we sing it wherever we go.
I never realised you became a naturalised Swiss citizen.
Hello hello, Super Ed!
Yesterday when C told me that Tina Turner had passed away, you were the first person I thought of. Even before the memories of the 80s and her songs came to mind.
Simply the best!
Big hugs 🤗🌀💙
Hello Hello Super Eli 🤗🌀💙🌀
Yeah it was a bolt out of the blue, and last night she passed aways as Rangers were getting ready to play Hearts. So of course they played in on the tannoy and was an emotional time, as there were also five players leaving for the last time, our 41 year old goalkeeper who had been with Rangers on and off since a bit.
An emotional night,
Simply the best indeed 🔴⚪🔵
I'd have to say my favorite songs of her were "Private Dancer" and "Simply the Best". I actually prefer the CCR version of Proud Mary over hers. She was iconic though and went through so much in her life. It's sad that she passed.
I do like Private Dancer, I saw her live at Wembley in London with Belinda Carlisle at Christmas in 96 or 97, just incredible. The energy was unbelievable.
Oh heck yeah, that's a bucket list concert right there. I love Belinda. Tina would have just been icing on the cake for me. I'm so jealous!
I immediately thought of you on seeing the news. She's truly made an impact on you... She's simply the best indeed.
Yes she was a legend CJ, Simply the best, it's a sad day.
WOW. And I got goosebumps watching all those people get to their feet and shouting along to lyrics. Damn it! This has to be really emotional for you. You don't cry and this triggered something. May she rest in peace. And I really hope you're okay now.
Now imagine being amongst those people ...
Yeah am all good thanks Deraa💙
❤️
Oh, dearest Ms. Tuner. Her voice is a miracle and here is my fluffy Teng with s watery eyes... Geez. I feel ya my fluffy mate. She is a star.
Thanks fluffy Balikis and yes a star she is and now singing amongst other stars:)
Yes, she is among other stars. That's great.
I was unaware of her passing until I stumbled upon this post. During the nineties, my dad introduced me to her music, and I developed a deep fondness for her. I grew up memorizing some of her songs, particularly "What's Love Got to Do with It," which was my favorite. She had remarkable energy during her performances and was an exceptional recording artist. It is a great loss to see a legend like Tina Turner pass away. May she rest in peace. Thank you @tengolotodo for celebrating the legend
I was lucky enough to see her live once with Belinda Carlisle, two of my favourite female artists.
The energy she had was unsurpassed, and her songs well damn they are all just awesome.
I wish I had that opportunity to one of her shows, you were indeed lucky and that must have been a memorable experience.
Another legend has left this world. I hope her music will never dies. 🎶
By the way, do you still remember me from readcash?
Yes now Tina was a true legend, I think the word gets bandied about too easily, but she was an icon and not just for her music, but what she went through.
Sydney the beautiful old soul in the young body studying English if I remember correctly who dressed in a French outfit complete with burgundy coloured I think it was beret for The Philippines from noise and read who loved to talk to older people and loved the 90s and retro things .... That Sydney? What do you think and helllllo :)
Omg! You remember so much about me more than the people who knows me in real life! You are correct about that, I am an old soul living in a young body and I am wondering why hahah. This sounds weird but I don't know.
You are probably a reincarnation of someone who has some unfinished business!
hehe I have a photographic memory when I am interested in something!
Omg if that was real that I got reincarnated then I wonder why. What unfinished business might it be 😩
Yeah many people I know would say that is the case, and I am sure it will be revealed soon.
Hi again...
Well Hi again, altough I am answering this out of order!
Though she may be gone, her music lives on.
A true legend I enjoyed her music 😊
Aye, shame to see the passing of such a legend !

I don't know her that much but she is the topic everywhere even in Radios and playing her songs and I heard her voice very beautiful just like her songs! Thank you for sharing this Sir @tengolotodo and a great tribute too! I came from #dreemport Godbless you!🙏
Quite stirring music - Ms. Turner is a legend of the stage and screen. The world lost a hero this week. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Ed... and I think it's wonderful that her music is eternalised at Ibrox. You guys had some great finishers! Some of those goals - whew! Pocket rockets!!! And then... what none of us can escape - the personal memories that songs bring to the surface. I'm sure you hold those with your Dad very close to your heart... May all our loved ones... and Ms. Tina Turner R.I.P. Lovely heartfelt article LUV !PIZZA !Hug
