Return of the summer, so down to the beach for ttt
Hello Hello to all you music-loving Hivians
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
For once that is complete nonsense, well not all of it is complete nonsense, it is almost Tuesday but not quite. Well it is Tuesday in Germany now so here goes!

We used to have hot August bank holidays but this year was meh.
We have however, found our hottest spell of weather since June.
It is actually feeling like summer, so today's #ttt has a summer/beach/water vibe to it!
Otis Redding - (Sittin’ on the) Dock of the Bay
Okay so Otis Redding needs no introduction whatsoever.
What you might not know is this was the last song he wrote and it was released after he died in a plane crash.
I love listening to this when I am walking down at the beach near the Tower with waves lapping on the rocks.
The Drifters - Under the Boardwalk
There were so many tunes floating round my head, I should really make a dedicated summertime play list.
Here however is another classic and one of my favourites.
Under the Boardwalk, how many times have you sung this, I know it is heaps for me!
The Ramones - Rockaway Beach
We gotta have a wee bit of punk in our summer!
Mind you I was tempted to include the cover version from Motorhead, ah well maybe next time.
Because I mention beach .... I have to play one of my favourite tunes and here we have ...

Great theme Ed! For sure Dock of the Bay and Echo Beach are my favourites! I do love the beach and have maybe one or two beach posts coming up.. lol
Oh I hope no trees getting blown over on those beaches Steve. Look forward to seeing those. Yes they are my favourite two too!

Ohooo, another good set of songs. I enjoyed listening to it, though I'm only familiar with one song here which is the Under the Boardwalk, I often that somewhere thats why I'm familiar with it hehe.
Under the Boardwalk is an absolute classic, mind you so was the one from Otis.

Ah thank you, yes this week the weather is wonderful and the images are only a few minutes walk from my home!
Music, ah we all rock in our own way When I worked in West Africa I loved the beat!
The beats are always cool.
Do they allow you to sing and dance up North?
Well, I am in the city so yes they do😂😂 I think they are extremely strict with dressing and the sharia rule.
The sharia rule that scares me to be honest. I remember you showed yourself in of those blue things they make you wear.
😂😂😂 I decided to wear it Uncle T. Since I am a stranger I am allowed to dress in what ever way. But no matter how I dress I must make sure I cover my body properly and dress well.
Being a guitar player I can never quite get Radiohead's creep out of my head when I hear Dock of the Bay. Remarkably similar!
Oh damn you are right! I put Creep on Alexa while I replied to comments on this post. Mrs T plays guitar and I get what you mean now.
Ah well creep will be in my hed for rest of the night now too!

At first I didn't recognize the track by the Dristers, then it came back to me haha - time warp! Genuinely don't recall 'Rockaway Beach'.. but cool to check it out nonetheless. Those are some great songs! Absolute classics for sure! We had some hot weather the last couple of days. I would have loved to have been at the beach. Instead, we just stayed home in the A/C!
Well I have to make the most of it, and pop down the beach tomorrow, will see if our seal colony is wanting to say hello!

Talk about a surprising bunch! Never saw Otis Redding being bunched with The Ramones before! Great picks, it's fun to hear some of those old tunes. Martha And The Muffins I had completely forgotten about, wasn't Echo Beach there only real hit?
Hehe it is fun to try and find a theme and get some common songs, but yeah Otis Redding along side the Ramones who the hell would ever have thought of that!
Yeah that was their biggie so to speak, they had others like Swimming and Paint by Number Heart. Then they were M and M. But yeah really Echo Beach is what they will be remembered for.

I think I came across the name Otis before, I once participated in TTT but that was quite some time ago and I hope to return to participating.
