My God is the sun on ttt171

Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...

It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!

Today though I am struggling for inspiration.

We had a glorious weekend of sunshine, it was as if we had the whole of summer in the last weekend of summer! Then bam yesterday was awful, it was wet cold and windy... Like hello and welcome to Autumn!

This morning though although cooler has been wonderful sunshine again!

So I think I have my inspiration afterall!

Today, I bring you .... Sun songs

Image from this past weekend at our local beach in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 171 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Nick Cave's Ghosteen Part I for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 170 - win 10 HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TWELVE sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun

I was going to work around the sunshine theme, but then I got aglimpse of the sun through the window and so the then became expanded to sun as well..

House of the Rising Sun is an absolute banger.

An American folk song song by a British band! I love it....

Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call The Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know I'm one

Well let's see if we find some now for real!

Stevie Wonder - You Are the Sunshine of My Life (Live @ the White House)

What a great song from an iconic singer singing at the White House in the good old US of A.

Sometimes my definition of a good song is one that you can sing along to easily and You Are the Sunshine of My Life fits that bill.

Right then, let's whirl that brain and see what pops out as the third tune to close out our post for today!

Queens of the stone age - My God is the sun

If you know me then you will know that I love the sun, it helps alleviate pains in my bones.

You might also know I am a big fan of the talents of Dave Grohl.

In fact it is because I am a Dave Grohl fan that I heard of Queens of the Stone Age the reason being that he was the drummer on My God is the sun when they recorded it in the studio!

Fan fact huh!

Which was your favourite (if any) ? Or is it not one I played?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

House of the Rising Sun is an absolute banger.

Totally agree, the sound of that horgan, and Eric Burdon's incredible voice make this version magical.

I had the good fortune to hear Eric Burdon sing this fabulous song live in 1986. I seem to remember that Burdon, reluctantly introduced it, as if he was sick of being remembered only for this song. But, once he started singing, that voice thrilled all of us who were present.

Greetings.

Oh wow! Jealous.... That must have been absolutely amazing. His voice is seriously something else. But yeah you do wonder if sometimes people do get a wee bit sick of having to play the song that sticks out for everyone.

I agree, being remembered for only one song after a great career as an artist must be very frustrating, by the way, the Stevie Wonder track spectacular. Great selection!

Queens of the Stone Age put on a really good show when I saw them many years ago. I kind of lost track of them after that, but I remember it was quite a show!

They opened for Nine Inch Nails. It was pretty great. The venue not so much, but the music was awesome!

You talked about songs describing the sunshine, and I automatically went back to this song:

But I loved your selection too, thanks for sharing! 💕

Love Grohl in all of his forms. Read his biography a while back. Very interesting guy.

He is absolutely amazing. What he is done is incredible and what he can play is fluffing out of this world.
