Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...
If you know me then you know I love to take my inspiration from somewhere.
Well this week is no different!
Yesterday the weather up here was fluffing miserable.
It was dreich ... as we say!
Not only was it cold and raining but it was blowing a hooley! (As in it was fluffing windy!)
This morning however, the sun popped out, of course who knows if it will stay...
But it got me thinking of sun and the beach and summer and in popped The Beach boys to my head!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

Yes I love the warmth of sun on my back, I am not going to lie, it helps my bones!
The Beach Boys were iconic and before my time. However I have owned a few of their albumsbum and so today, we shall three of their not so well known hits.
Beach Boys - Be True To Your School
He’s an understandably controversial figure among Beach Boys fans, but Mike Love nevertheless makes Be True to Your School as exciting as it is: his lyrics are weirdly belligerent, and he sings them with a punkish snarl at odds with its perky cheerleader chants and ra-ra backing vocals, as if intent on provoking a punch-up rather than lauding his alma mater.

This was released in 1964 and I do love this wee review
Fun, Fun, Fun must have sounded like a description of another planet in early 60s Britain: a world of drive-in restaurants and unimaginable plenty, where a teenager could take possession of a Ford Thunderbird. No wonder it sounded so exuberant, from its Chuck Berry guitar intro to its final, life-affirming explosion of harmonies.

The Beach Boys - my favourite from them is Surfin USA as when my son was in kindergarten they danced at one show at this song, with little surfboards and sunglasses 😎
I grew up listening to the Beach Boys. They are one of my dad and sisters favorite groups. I enjoy them, but probably not as much as they do. Oddly enough, my wife can't stand them and I am not quite sure why. Especially their early stuff is just some good fun tunes.

I love the Beach Boys! Those are three songs I really enjoy! I haven't listened to them in a few years, I'll have to make a point to listen to some more Beach Boys songs.
