Charity inspired U Got The Look in ttt 164
Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...
It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!
After me bringing you a young local band Shambolics last week, I decided I would roll back some years this week.
Thanks to Mrs T for the inspiration as we were in a charity shop doing some charity shopping when she saw a picture of Sheena Easton, actually I think it was a record.
Well whatever it was, this was the shop...
So a wee tribute to Sheena Easton coming up!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
@ablaze started #ttt 164 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Aoife Nessa Frances for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 163 - win 12 HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TWELVE sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!
Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday
Sheena Easton - 9 to 5 (Morning Train)
Sheena Easton was huge in the 80s and I forgot just how many songs she actually released or performed duets with.
She found fame soto speak on a reality type TV program when she was filmed trying to make it into the music biz.
This was her single and was a winner.
Sheena Easton - For Your Eyes Only
James Bond, Bond 007 films were huge back in the 80s and so it was a sign of her popularity that Sheena Easton sang the opening credits tune for For Your Eyes Only..
Of course being Scottish, there is only one James Bond for me and that is Sean Connery!
Prince and Sheena Easton - U Got The Look
I am a big Prince fan and loved this, so it was defo going on the list.
I mentioned she performed duets, she collaborated on two songs with Prince.
She also sang Me Gustas Tal Como Eres with Luis Miguel.
She also sang We've Got Tonight with Kenny Rogers.
I hope that you enjoyed these Sheena Easton tunes.
Which was your favourite (if any) ?
Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

I love Sheena Easton. Morning train is definitely a classic, but I also like the song "Strut". That was another one of her big hits here in the US. I think For Your Eyes Only is probably my favorite though.
Yeah she was huge over there, I was suprised that all Mrs T's family knew her. It was tough to choose 3 and Strut was number 4 on my list!
The moment I pressed the play button, in my mind, I was like, "This song sound 70s/80s, and I am glad I was right.
Her song is danceable, and she has an amazing voice.
Ah fluffy B, yeah she has quite the voice and well danceable songs 💃
Hehe...that's right.
Sheena Easton and Sean Connery, both have their place in my heart. Beautiful collection TG!
Hehe you like the Scots I see 😁
Beautiful people 😅
I thought I'd heard it before hahaha of course! How could I forget that James Bond hit? Sheena Easton has a unique style that lasts over time. Thank you very much for your recommendations! 💕
hehe yes I think people remember the James Bond hit without realising that she was singing For Your Eyes Only😁
Wow that sure brought back some memories. Listening to #ttt shares is always a treat.
Yes #ttt is a great way for me to bring tunes I have not playing in forever!
Funny how I don't know her, but I used to listen to her songs😅. The second is my fave. Nice song selection for this week🤗
Yes she is really well known outside of the UK. She moved to America and I think her career really took off there. But yeah we know her songs even if we don't know who she is!
Sheena Easton is such a legend... I still remember seeing For Your Eyes Only for the first time and was amazed at how well she had the song. I hadn't heard it in awhile, it was nice to hear it again! 9 to 5 and U Got The Look are great ones too. What an amazing singer!
Yes she was pretty big over your side of the water. I was amazed how all Mrs T's family knew her and raved about her. For us she was the wee lassie from Bellshill who got on the telly!
She was a huge star here in the US!
really enjoyed the first music hit '9-5'. A simple video coverup that looks matured for all class. Exception of music, women ought to add values to whatever work their husband does.
Nice! I often forget about Sheena Easton, but the reminder how good she was is always nice. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure, and yeah she was pretty darn good right enough.
