Hello Hello to all you wonderful Hivians

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 124 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his latest post Playlist Trio for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 123 - 10 HBI shares to be won!

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TEN sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

I was on X you know formerly Twitter yesterday when I saw this post...

I commented it was a great album as it still is and they are a great band.

So the Heaven 17 #ttt was born!

Heaven 17 - (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang

I am sure you are well aware of the atrocities that are happening in the Middle East at the moment.

We just don't learn, hate just brings even more hate.

Although this song is 40 years old it is as relevant today as it was when it was recorded.

I shall leave you with the chorus ...

Brothers, sisters, we don't need that fascist groove thang

You can check the other lyrics here

Heaven 17 were formed as a side project of the British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.). Which itself was the production company formed by Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware after they quit The Human League in 1980.

Fun fact...The name "Heaven 17" ...

is derived from Stanley Kubrick's movie "A Clockwork Orange". During the record store scene, Heaven 17 is mentioned as one of the hip bands. So now you know!

Heaven 17 - Temptation

The Temptation was too great to resist to have a Heaven 17 ttt without their greatest hit Temptation.

Of course, it was also a great way to see and hear the beautiful and wonderfully talented singer Carol Kenyon who featured on the original and the remix by Brothers in Rhythm in 1992

Heaven 17 - Penthouse And Pavement

We are going to close the playlist today by going back to their debut album from 1981 Penthouse And Pavement and you guessed play the title track from the album Penthouse And Pavement.

I hope that you enjoyed these Heaven 17 tunes.

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Never heard of the Heaven 17, when it comes down to the tunes first would be my selection, recognizable from the times, still relevant today. Words say it all!

Interesting. I have never heard of this band before. I am digging into some Van Halen right now (see what I did there), but once that is finished I am going to check out Heaven 17. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, definetely "The Temptation" is the one I like. I am too obsessed with the music of the 80s. 😀

My first #ttt post is not about the 80s, but next weeks I probably will include some of my favourite oldies.

You know, I've never heard of Heaven 17 and when I clicked the first song I was expecting a totally different style of music. Dub, or Ska, or something like that. It's nice to be pleasantly surprised by something new. Can't beat a catchy tune with a good message.

hehe I love Ska and Dub but what seems like a gazillion other styles too lol!
Yeah they were pretty cool back in the day.

Can't beat a catchy tune with a good message.

Exactly and why I thought yep that's the one!

Wow. Never heard of Heaven 17 until now or maybe I'm just not a music person, more like a dead silence type. Hahaha

Clicked on these links and uh, no more comments.🤭

I'll do the #ttt next week. Thanks for talking about spreading some good music 🎶
