A Scottish Belfast Father Christmas market on ttt 181

Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!

Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...

It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!

Are you ready for Christmas?

I am getting there, actually buying things for Christmas this last week! Not to mention seeing the Christmas market in Edinburgh yesterday.

Today my post is a Christmas songs fest

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 182 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Ó Wander for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 181 - win 6 HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

Where to start

I saw yesterday they were or just had released Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas 40! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of the song for charity.

It is fluffing cold and feels like winter is here!

They started playing Christmas songs including this one on an advert we say and which happens to the favourite of Mrs from when she was a toddler...

Three inspirations for three tunes I like it!

How fluffing cool is that!

The Kinks - Father Christmas (Official HD Video)

I love this song and so do punks!

The lyrics are brilliant and really make sense...

Have yourself a merry merry Christmas
Have yourself a good time
But remember the kids who got nothin’
While you’re drinkin’ down your wine.

The Kinks of course were an iconic bunch of English rockers that were banned from playing in the US from 65-69 for their outlandish behaviour!

They were fronted by Ray Davies who wrote most of their songs and his younger brother Dave who was lead guitarist and back up vocalist.

This song was loved by punks and the list of bands that covered it includes ... Gigolo Aunts, Dispatch, Green Day, Man Overboard, Bad Religion, Bowling For Soup, Save Ferris, Letters to Cleo, Smash Mouth, Cary Brothers, Action Action, Everything, Deer Tick, OK Go, The Unlikely Candidates, Cheap Trick and more !

Then you have the guitar riffs in there ... The Kinks could play music, of that there is no doubt!

Merry Christmas Market - Slade parody by Paddy Raff

I had to pop this one down. Yesterday I was at Edinburgh Christmas market, and they are overpriced nonsense really!

What do you think? Do you have Christmas markets?

I think they are a bit more authentic when there is real snow on the ground and they are in a foreign country!

I had to put this German sausage stand picture from yesterday as a homage to his sausage part in the video!

Mind you I also like this song as it is Belfast christmas market beside Belfast city hall, I always think videos are even better when you know where they are set etc!

Frightened Rabbit — It’s Christmas So We’ll Stop

I wonder how many of you have heard of Frightened Rabbit?

But as we were talking about Edinburgh earlier I had to include a song from a Scottish band. I might do this all the way upto Christmas, we shall see.

The reason I picked Frigthened Rabbit is that Mrs T thinks when I sing I sound like the lead singer Scott Hutchison at times!

They were from Selkirk in the Scottish borders and another band with brothers and not only was Scott there but his brother Grant.

I should really make a ttt especially for them.

Scott unfortunately went missing in May 2018, and it was confirmed he died from suicide in South Queensferry not that far from here.

Which was your favourite Ten Tonnes tune? Or is it not one I played?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Thanks for visiting!

Ah! It's getting to be that time of year isn't it? We just put up our tree the other weekend which is about five weeks sooner than we usually do it! Hard to believe we are almost into December!

I love Christmas! I love December and people who were born in December. I was born in December! hahaha. Christmas markets started here too, even though it's not cold yet. I liked all the songs and your photography. I think I could make my selection of Christmas songs too, but later. A nice Tuesday, my friend

It's Christmas time already isn't it? Loved the Kinks, very cool. The other two were new to me, but enjoyable. Just can't believe it's almost Christmas all over again!

Let's pretend it's funny... I liked that line.

The festive spirit of Christmas is nice, but it's the wastefulness that I don't agree with, especially when others have nothing to eat.

This world is totally crazy...

May the winter not last so long!
