• Backrooms Inspired Album!!!!

For the last year I was doing construction work at an old rundown motel in small town Alberta. The first night I slept there I had some real creepy feelings. There was a man ranting outside, it was very dark, the room was a bit dirty and nasty. It reminded me of living in low-income housing as a kid with my single Mother who lived with mental illness. Those were spooky times too! My brother and I would get weird feelings and trip out. I actually went and started making this A.I. album without thinking about it, after making a few songs with the Liminal Motel theme, I realized those connections

The first song from Liminal Motel is called Ash In The Reel, it is the only song from Liminal Motel that has lyrics, the rest are instrumental. Synthesis Underground project is mostly instrumental but once in awhile I will put a song or 2 with lyrics in an album. Ash In The Reel is Dark Ambient Bedroom Pop. It is about nostalgia for the 'lost future' we all felt would happen when culture seemed at a peak but...now ... feels like.... it never arrived....not yet anyway?... but in the dreamy song the longing for it still stays alive. My gawd, I'm listing to it right now, pretty emotional for an A.I. song! I feel that longing for that lost future myself.

What was cool about fixing up the old motel there was we were able to put some good vibes back into it! We do some boarding, mostly mudding and taping. You could feel some of the strange vibes while fixing it up but when we were done each unit, the vibe felt allot better. That meant a lot to me! I knew what it was like to live in low-income housing, we were making people's lives better and that gives me satisfaction.

The next song on the album is called Backrooms Static. It has a spooky soundtrack vibe to it. I think it will be a great song to play on Halloween. It does have that Liminal Spaces sort of vibe, some distorted drones, soft piano and creepy ambience. It is what I was looking for. I wanted to make these songs to go along with Backrooms content for tiktok and YouTube because I enjoy making that kind of stuff

• The Next Song I Want To Show You Is Called Dust Reel Memory

It has a bit of a sad ambience and creepy vibe to it. I think it would be a great song for a movie soundtrack. The A.I. on Suno makes titles and themes of the songs that repeat, the word Reel, the words Motel etc. I didn't even think of Liminal Motel. I was painting a mood and then it had the word Motel in some of the songs so I thought that would be great for the album title.

This has been a fun album! It reminds me of those spooky feelings in childhood and exploring abandoned buildings. I self released it on YouTube before distribution and a few people really liked it!! I'm looking forward to making backrooms videos on tiktok and YouTube now. I love making soundtrack stuff! The last song I will show you is called Motel Mirror. Another creepy song with droning sounds in it, some haunting melody and distorted bass and sounds. Oooh I like it!! Makes me look forward to Halloween
