The Best A.I. Album I've Made So Far!!

I had this concept from a few years ago surrounding The Apocalypse, I thought to myself "why not have a positive apocalypse" LOL I think it's a great idea....if you are going to have an apocalypse you might as well have an apocalypse worth having!! I was surprised how well the songs turned out. Udio was the best for making A.I. music in my opinion. Unfortunately you can no longer distribute music using Udio anymore. This was the last album made from it with full songs. I was able to squeeze in a bunch of 2 minute songs before it went down. I can still distribute those but anything new made there you cannot.

This is the first song from the album called Azure Phoenix Rising. It is a sort of rise up and take the power back sort of song. The title is based on my handle Azure Phoenix that I use on facebook

The Music From Positive Apocalypse is in the Industrial/Cyberpunk Genre

The album was pretty fun to make. The A.I. tried to make what it thinks is Industrial music which is more accurate on Udio than other music generation platforms. In Industrial songs from the 80's and 90's there are voice clips from horror movies, news audio and other sources. The A.I. was able to create some of these voices, though because they are not from samples it extrapolates what they sound like. Nice and weird!! It makes the songs sound good! On other platforms where you make A.I. music it usually sounds too polished and poppy, so these songs have a bit more grit and lo-fi sound to them which I like allot.

The next track I will share has those extrapolated sample voices in it. Song is called Embers Of Resistance. It has the most likes on YouTube compared to the rest of the album. I was glad some people liked it!

The Tension Of Society Is High Right Now So I Made This Album To Sort Of Navigate Through It. The Music Is Dark Yet Positive.

There are a few repeating themes through the album. One is about not giving in, not resigning to despair, to make a breakthrough now matter how bleak things may seem... This next song addresses this. It's called Awakening The Feral Spirit

I'm Glad I Made The Album Because I Was Craving More Edgy Industrial Music And It Did The Trick

The music has been very therapeutic for me! I have been listening to it allot since I put it out. Sometimes the best music is that you make yourself, even if it is made with A.I. LOL The music keeps me pumped and moves me through what is important to me. This next song is called Be The Tempest and is one of the darkest songs on the album. I like music that makes you think and feel something.

Many Of These Songs Have A Political And Rebellious Nuance To Them

That's the way I like it!! I like to fight for human rights and right now we need all the help we can get!! This album has been distributed everywhere like Spotify and Bandcamp. Here are some links to find the full album

Thank You to everyone who read this post and checked out some of the music!! The next release will be by end of year or early next year. I am also getting back into making more original music without the use of A.I. Cheers!!

Nice you shared this with us at HIVE. Am curious what your process is when creating this album. What you provide AI. The number of attempts you make before being satisfied. If it is possible to iterate on an outcome, ie pass the result back to AI to alter things, or to create a new version based on such a previous outcome.

I have experience with text and AI; I know I try all sorts of things to increase the result when I create. Mostly, I use AI for work. In my private life, I just play around with it, but rarely use the results for anything. Can't get myself to create blog posts using AI, however, when I use X, I let AI work for me.

I always include the word Horror in the genre, makes it dark sounding. I tell it to make 80's early 90's Industrial Cyberpunk. Usually adding a bunch of genres makes it sound more interesting. The A.I. is so good that almost every output sounds pretty good so I don't have to tweak it too much. It makes about a 2 minute song on Udio then I ask it to make an intro and usually extend the song with instrumental and then alternate with lyrics, after that make it give an instrumental outro . When adding a new section you have 4 variations and I listen to them and choose the best one, usually don't have to re-prompt. It does take some time. What I liked about Udio is you can make longer prompts that gives much more direction, I don't specify instruments, I just give it a direction on content for the lyrics. Too bad I can't use Udio anymore. Right now I am using Music GPT...you can make longer prompts but the songs sound more emo or poppy...so I always use the word Horror and sometimes Experimental in the genre to make it sound more raw

Thanks for this. Always interested in learning how people use AI.

I have - from time to time - talks about AI with friends who are music producers; Artists/Producers using hardware gear and/or 'traditional' software. Seems like they - still - don't like AI too much, but use AI more and more as part of the software they use, ie add to the samples, sounds and drums, making variations of the original sounds in such software. I think they still add their own tweaks to whatever AI delivers. Those who bring out their productions on Vinyl and such, go to the extreme in tweaking, ie in much detail, changing almost any sound in the track to exactly what they want it to be. That is hard to let AI deliver this, since it is so much personal taste. It'll be interesting to see what the large(r) artists/producers will do from now on into the future.

NJOY the remainder of the weekend.
