It's More Than Just Music

"Music is like moonlight in the gloomy night of life." - Sean Paul

In life, we all face unexpected challenges, like being handed lemons when we never asked for them. Just as lemons can damage dental enamel upon contact with the teeth, life's troubles can lead us into moments of emotional pain and regrets, leaving us to ponder on different ways to ditch the situation.

Music influences me deeply, even more than opium could. When I'm at that point where my clouds get thick and horribly dark, one artist I listen to is Celine Dion. It's heartbreaking to know that she's battling her own struggles, and I guess she sometimes blasts her own music, shutting out the world for a while and hoping the rain will wash down her tears and drown her fears.

"A New Day Has Come" by Celine Dion is a powerful and emotionally charged ballad that was released in 2002. It marked her return to making music after taking a break to focus on her family.

Inasmuch as this song somewhow represents the birth of a child which could mean the beginning of new things, the lyrics also convey a message of hope, renewal, and the joy of a new beginning. It conveys deep heartfelt emotions and is spirit lifting.

As the dark clouds filled the sky, mirroring my mood. I stood by my window watching the clouds as I reflected on what I wasn't doing right. With the atmosphere being terribly dark, I needed something to cheer me up. The first thing that came to mind was music and it turned to some of my best friends which of course are my playlist and the song aforementioned by Celine Dion topped others.

For this song to top my list, it's clear that I listen to it almost every time I'm all up in my head. Dion's vocals, as always, are remarkable and soothing to the soul, alongside the profound message her lyrics convey.

I plugged in my AirPods, increased the volume and drowned myself in the lyrics as the cool breeze brushed against my face. Some minutes later, the rain began to pour, aligning perfectly with the lyrics that said "let the rain come down and wash away my tears…"

The song took my mind off everything else, magically making me escape into another dimension where I received answers to puzzle-like questions that haunted me. It was then that the phrase "good music is a soul food" took on a deeper meaning and I couldn't be more thankful.

This song by Celine Dion is a touching and inspirational masterpiece that resonates with a lot of people. It's one of the best as it gives me goosebumps, thrills, and makes me see possibilities of a new beginning despite the rough patches.

When life is shit and annoyingly overwhelming, just turn up the music and surrender to its soothing influence.

Celine Dion's songs will for ever be green as they can be related to life. A new day has come is one of the songs that reminds me that there's another chance to start something new and be different and better. Another chance to look out for opportunities and grab them.

Music is one of the most impressive and inadjectivisable things ever invented. Even from a biological point of view, naturalness and enchantment are still present. We humans marvel, but everything as soon as it exists also exists. Music, as you rightly say, is everything and it is marvellous.
