Wednesday Walk more shots from a walk in the local zoo

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

Today I will share a few shots from a walk I took around the Buttonwodo Park Zoo, I bought a season ticket so I may do this a few times this year

The Buttonwood Park Zoo, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, is a zoo located in the center of Buttonwood Park. Opened in 1894, it is the third-oldest zoo in New England and the 12th-oldest zoo in the United States. Located on a 7 acres (2.8 ha) campus, the zoo is owned and operated by the City of New Bedford, with the support of the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society. It is located on part of the Buttonwood Park Historic District, and federally designated on the National Register of Historic Places.

The zoo is home to more 250 different animals made up of more than 80 different species of animals, including many that are rare and endangered

let me start with the bald eagles such majestic looking birds

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

What a great walk enjoying the wonders at the zoo. Interesting is that I have seen all these in the wild. I need to make it to the zoo here before it gets too cold.

(Edited)

The next four days highs in the 70's here with lows in the low to mid 50's. But suppose to be 90's again next week. Just bring on fall, haha

There are a lot of beautiful animals in the zoo, what are geese doing close to those bison, maybe, they want to get bitten 😂
The photos are beautiful, especially that of a bobcat

I liked everything but I can't deny that I have a predilection for felines, what beautiful pictures. Very nice walk, thank you very much always!😃

My wife's high school mascot was the bobcat, so I have to go with that for my favorite. The eagles are pretty cool though. I was recently at a lake where they actually hate bald eagles because they scare away the loons that are trying to nest.

I love zoos! Bison can only be soon in zoos there I suppose. There are places out west like Yellowstone where you seem them by the herd. The birds are beautiful , great shots there. That bobcat sure made for a nice picture, I hope you got a chance to get out and about today!
