Evergreen lyrics are missing with the unhealthy evolution of the Music Industry

When we talk about the current status of music and its lyrics in the most contemporary period? Then, you don't remember any of them; some of the greatest song lyrics that will come into your mind will be very classic, and most of them will be from very old ages, not the latest ones. Because the latest songs are not so good in perspective on the lyrics and because the music industry is undergoing the evolution of other perspectives, everyone wants to make money within a very short time, so the related personnel always go with the flow and write so many songs in a short period of time. Besides the businessmen want to cover up to sell more copies of their CDs. The singers have more concentration on their live shows because they get most of their earnings from these kinds of live shows, and the people who want to join these live shows enjoy the moment and go back to their homes without any feelings about the songs they have enjoyed in these concerts.

It is also true that good lyrics often come from some incidence in our history in our life like in current time. I can just give you an example of the 'July Revolution in Bangladesh' where the students from the country made a huge protest against the fascist prime minister of the country, and she fled from the country. And during those revolutionary times, many songs were written by various artists to motivate the student protest without any commercial thoughts. All of those songs' lyrics were appreciated by the common people, and they were motivated to join the protest and come down on the street for the protest. Also, from history, I know that in 1952, when Bengali people sacrificed their lives for their mother language and remember that the 21st of February was announced as International Mother Language Day by UNESCO. We have many evergreen songs to remember our countrymen sacrificed. Also, we had our liberation war in 1971, and many songs were written for the motivation of our freedom fighters, which are still evergreen in our country.

Besides the historical events, lyrics depend on the taste of the people and the values of the society regarding people's feelings, which have changed over time with modern technology. So, it can be easily understood that lyrics have evolved with the evolution of science in our daily lives. But when we talk about the older song lyrics, which were quite spiritual; and the spiritual eternity was one of the most dominating factors for a song. Great lyrics, sweet musical tones, and magic in the vocals are important factors, but the lyrical beauty made the songs evergreen. There are many people who practice music for their hobbies or for their mental satisfaction, but currently, most of the singers are professionals, and they want to earn money so they have to do some other tricks so that the music industry can evolve very fast and they have more opportunities for earning money.

As a result of this kind of sentiment, the Lyricist can't get enough time to write a very good song. The music is not being created with beautiful things that we have inside our hearts of all ages of people. Like in our childhood the percentage of good lyrics was in large number which is decreasing every year. If I want to know from your favorite song list from '90s or '80s or 2000s; then maybe you can sing a song that most of the people will know about this song. But if I want to ask someone to sing the top hit song of the month then maybe very few people will know about that song that means that the impact of the contemporary songs on the society is decreasing significantly and the music industry is not so impactful because of the lacking in good lyrics.

Another point that I want to mention that the feeling of our lives are dying because people are nowadays too much busy in their works and they don't have too much time to expose their feelings to their loved ones. We have no time to think after knowing the fact that the rate of the divorce increases tremendously and the formation of nuclear families are skyrocketing in the modern society. At this modern age, people don't love each other the boys the girls they have no time for loving each other so the breakup is a very common factor. Same thing happened with the music that has no effect that will not increase their emotion to love or increase their Romanticism. Here, life is very fast and there is no Romanticism in today's love stories that's why the lyrics of the songs have been changed nowadays by replacing with the remix, DJ and party songs for dance.

The most of the time the musicians, singers, and who do business in the music industries; they don't care about the common people, they just want to make money so there is a sharp increase in party songs, DJ songs; because these song are being played in the bars, in the parties for people who will not think a lot but dance and drink whatever they like for their party. And then they will go back to their home without any feelings just I empty mind so this type of music is a very common only for the business perspective which is one of the reason why people don't care about the lyrics in the modern society.

Another thing is that the people nowadays are using the technology for the mass production of these songs with deploying some garbage singers. So now, the most of the singers don not have good voice but they are using the technologies too much. When they sing without any instrument they are just like garbage singers which happens in our country I have seen many musician they use the technology so badly.

For the shortage of good lyrics, the old songs are being generated in the new form with a DJ and the remix which are getting more popular because the people in the industry don't want to work hard for generating some unique lyrics or very good lyrics defining our feeling of love, passion or anything we want. Previously there were many varieties in the music but nowadays you can't find so much varieties as DJ songs party songs and remix songs are the main thing that we can expose nowadays in the music industry. It is funny that the artists always try to pick up the old famous song to make the remix for the party songs. Actually they don't want to work hard but they want to make much more profit I think this is the main reason for low quality of the lyrics in current days.
