Tribute to the best rock bands, today is: "Nirvana"
Good afternoon, my friends, today I'm going to write about one of the most influential groups in the grunge, style, "Nirvana" I hope you like this post and if you see that I'm wrong about something, let me know in a comment.
So I start
1987-1990: Creation of the group
- 1989: If we have to talk about the grunge movement of the 80s, then we have to talk about "Nirvana". But it was easy at the beginning since punk and alternative rock predominated. Their first album with songs like "About a Girl", "Blew" and "Negative Creep" the latter with an aggressive and nihilistic tone.
1991: The first big success
- Everything changes in September when they release the album "Nevermind", on this album there is a 90's anthem "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that made the grunge movement become the predominant genre of this year. This song makes the group a before and after and launches them to stardom.
1992: Tensions appear
Every song Kurt Cobain wrote was a reflection of how he felt about himself or towards society or the politicians of the countries.
Kurt Cobain did not feel like writing what he felt with this fame or with commercial issues and this year was that reflection, releasing "Sliver" and "Dive"
1993: Answer to the fame I didn't want
- "Heart-Shaped Box" pain and obsessive love is what he wanted to express the relationship he had with his girlfriend Courtney Love
- "Rape Me" rape and exploitation, is what he felt about the fame he had achieved and he had the feeling that the media was exploiting him
- "Pennyroyal Tea" is asking for help in this song, but no one has heard. She expresses the problem she has with drugs and emotional and physical fatigue.
If you notice, with this album I was asking for help, yes, asking for it, but of course when you sign with a record company, all they want is to be like a leech that is stuck to your body, to suck out all the blood they can.
1994: The day grunge died
- According to the police
On April 8, 1994, Kurt Cobain, lead singer and guitarist of the American grunge band Nirvana, was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington. Forensic investigators later determined that he had died three days earlier, on April 5. The Seattle Police Department incident report stated that the body was found with a shotgun held over his chest, he had suffered a visible gunshot wound to the head, and that a suicide note had been discovered nearby. Seattle police ruled the musician's death a suicide. Following his death, conspiracy theories spread that he was murdered.
There are people who don't look you in the face and say "Help me" there are people who transmit it like Kurt Cobain with a song the problem is that we didn't know how to listen to the lyrics of those songs
Well, I hope you like this post, so tomorrow more and better
