The Ultimate Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack

Good evening, I really wanted to write about this great movie because I think it was included in the conversation of the best things Marvel did. The surprising thing is that they had gotten so far with unknown characters. The Guardians comic ended in 2010 because they weren't selling enough. With the success of the cinematic universe and already entering phase two, they began to look for new titles to bring to the big screen and noticed that even though Guardians of the Galaxy had few sales, all those comics had good reviews. This indicated that the few people who ended up reading them ended up liking the story.

They weren't actively selling because they were competing against much more popular characters, so Marvel chose to take the risk of investing 200 million dollars to make a movie about these unknowns. The best person to direct it is someone who is used to managing heroic teams. Director James Gunn, in my opinion, would become one of the most notorious directors of the decade with a very marked style with his bizarre colors, imperfect characters, and lots and lots of retro music. And that's what I'm going to talk to you about now.

So we started

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 (2014) - Awesome Mix Vol. 1

"Hooked on a Feeling" - Blue Swede

  • The Original Version is from (1968) The song was written by Mark James and recorded by singer B.J. Thomas, but the song we hear in the movie is from a Swedish band Blue Swede, led by Björn Skifs, and this version has more rhythm than the original.

"Go All the Way" - Raspberries

  • "Go All the Way" is the best-known song by the American rock band Raspberries, released in 1972. Written by lead singer Eric Carmen, this song is characterized by its powerful and catchy sound, which combines the style of power pop with influences from classic rock and glam rock.

"Spirit in the Sky" - Norman Greenbaum

  • This is a great song and I've talked about this group in another of my posts, but we know them for their distinctive guitar riff.

"I'm not in love" - 10cc

"I Want You Back" - Jackson 5

  • “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5 is an iconic song that was released in 1969, with lyrics that convey the desire to win back a lost love and the regret of having let someone special go.

"Come and Get Your Love" - Redbone

  • This is a great song by the brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas from the group Redbone, and by the way, this song was a great match for that sequence.

"Cherry Bomb" - The Runaways

  • "Cherry Bomb" is one of the most iconic songs by The Runaways, one of the first all-female rock bands in the 1970s. The song was released in 1976 as part of their self-titled debut album and quickly became a rock anthem.

"Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" - Rupert Holmes

"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell

  • And the last song and the best is "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and it's a Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell song. Released in 1967, the song was written by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, a songwriting duo who were notable for their work at Motown. It's a hit to put it in this movie.

Well, gentlemen, that's all for now. These are the songs that appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Part 1, which are all really good. Tomorrow I'll post part 2 and part 3 the next day. So tomorrow there will be more and better.
