Aerosmith: The Power of Rock in Every Note

Good afternoon, today I have the pleasure of talking to you about one of the most popular and influential bands on the rock scene. I'm talking about the great group Aerosmith.

So let's start.

1970 Boston, United States, five friends decided to form a rock band with the desire to achieve a new style. It is worth mentioning that they all had experience in music and came from different bands. Steven Tyler played in a group called Chin reaction Tyler.

In 1969 he attended a local rock concert in Sonapi, Sullivan County, where he saw a band called the J Band and was amazed by the power and attitude that the group had. There he met Joe Perry, guitarist, and Tom Hamilton, bassist. He had not mentioned that Tyler had played drums in previous groups. So, this time he did not want to take that role. He insisted that he wanted to be the leader and lead singer. As you may know, the group contacted Joy Kramer, drummer for Jonkers in New York. Interestingly, Joy knew Tyler. Tyler also invited a friend from his childhood to join the band named Ray Tabano, occupying the rhythm guitar position. Now the name of the band was needed. Which brings us to a quick fact. Since its beginnings, the band experimented with different substances and during this time Ker wrote in his school notebooks the word "Iros Smith."

Inspired by Harry Nilson's Erial Bally album, the name was related to a tribute to the aerial circus act that Nilson's grandparents did by jumping through a biplane. The band decided to call themselves that after considering bananas Ested Jin and Spy Jones. So they christened themselves Aerosmith.

So that was the end of the story. The band's first concert was quickly held in Mendon, Massachusetts at the Nick Muk Regional High School. He had no problems with the rest of the band. So he was replaced by Brad Wilford, a character who was a well-educated musician. By this I mean that he attended the University of Berkeley's School of Music.

And so begins the story of the Boston bad boys who throughout their career were plagued by success, fame and no doubt the damn addictions that are never lacking in these stories. With more than 51 years of giving concerts, the band holds the record. of being the American group with the most gold and platinum records So it's time to turn up the volume on your headphones and speakers because today in rock stories I bring you the story of Aerosmith

Now I'm going to talk about his great music

"Dream On" (1973)

  • This is probably Aerosmith's most iconic song, released on their self-titled debut album. The song is an anthem of hope and perseverance and is known for Steven Tyler's stunning vocal performance. Although it wasn't an immediate chart hit, it eventually became one of rock's greatest classics.

"Sweet Emotion" (1975)

  • "Sweet Emotion" is one of the band's crowning achievements. With its unmistakable Tom Hamilton bass riff, this song became a rock classic. It was a huge hit on the Billboard charts and is widely considered one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

"Walk This Way" (1975)

  • Another big hit from their album "Toys in the Attic," this song is famous for its opening riff and for the historic collaboration with rappers Run-D.M.C. in 1986. The version with Run-D.M.C. revived the song and helped introduce rap to rock audiences, creating one of the most important collaborations in music history.

"Back in the Saddle" (1976)

  • Part of their album "Rocks", this song is a return to their hard rock roots. It is known for its raw energy and powerful riff, making it another of their great anthems.

"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" (1998)

  • This song, released on their album "Armageddon: The Album", is one of Aerosmith's biggest commercial hits. It was part of the soundtrack of the film Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis, and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Its ballad style, along with Tyler's emotional performance, made this song a massive hit.

"Cryin'" (1993)

  • One of her signature songs from the 90s, "Cryin'" was part of her album "Get a Grip." The song features a mix of rock and catchy melodies and became a huge hit, reaching the top 10 of the Billboard charts. The music video, which features Alicia Silverstone as the lead, was also a hit on MTV.

"Living on the Edge" (1993)

  • Another great song from Get a Grip, Living on the Edge is notable for its aggressive guitars and message about living on the edge. It was a success in both sales and popularity, cementing Aerosmith's position as one of the biggest bands of the era.

"Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" (1987)

"Amazing" (1993)

  • Also released on Get a Grip, Amazing is another powerful ballad that stands out for its emotional message. It was very successful on the rock and pop charts, as well as being another of the great ballads that marked the 90s.

"Love in an Elevator" (1989)

  • Another iconic song from Pump, "Love in an Elevator" is known for its irreverence and signature 80s rock style. It became one of the band's biggest hits during that decade.

Throughout their career, Aerosmith has received multiple awards, including Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and American Music Awards. The band was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and has been recognized for its influence on rock music, as well as selling over 150 million albums worldwide.

Well, gentlemen, this is all for today, so tomorrow more and better.

Me agrada esta banda, la tengo entre las de mi preferencia, como a todas las del género rock de esta época dorada, a lo que cariñosamente llamamos clásicos. Muy buena selección de sus mejores temas.
