Am I brilliant at something?

Weekend engagement 263 topic #2:
Could I say I'm brilliant at something? It's an excellent question to reflect on and assess my development. When I had just graduated as a teacher, I started teaching at a school that hadn't had an English teacher for two years. This meant I had to prepare much more, as students were moving up a grade with a fairly poor grasp of the language. Sometimes I had to review the next day's lesson several times to be prepared for students' questions, make the class productive, and motivate them. I worked hard during that course, as I was very inexperienced and teaching was a rather difficult goal, but I definitely know I did a good job due to certain recognitions from the school and my own students. It was then that I felt for the first time that I was good at something, brilliant? Maybe, but above all, satisfied.
When I bought my first guitar, my love for music grew even stronger. I had always sung but had never studied music. My desire to understand music, especially its structure, led me to study much more, as I had to understand many aspects of the instrument that were completely unfamiliar to me. This allowed me to recognize, create, and perform, giving me a certain level of satisfaction, allowing me to say that today I'm not the most knowledgeable, but I know what to do and how to do it well.
I don't know if I could say I'm brilliant at teaching or making music, but what I could say I am brilliant at is studying, always wanting to develop my skills, and above all, doing it with passion—sometimes better or worse, but always with passion. Thank you all so much, especially to the community, for this wonderful space. See you again this weekend.

So you enjoy learning? An indispensable requirement if we want to teach, a cycle that does not end 🙂
Of course, teaching is a great task and it needs continuos learning and self development. Thanks for passing by and comment. Blessings 🙏
