HiveGhana Prompt Week 40: Celebrating With Ghana On Their 67Th Independence Day 🇬🇭.
Greetings awesome Hivers and friends of this community. Am happy yo be among you for this week’s all interesting topics. And before I move on with my blog, I want to wish everyone good and healthy well-being as we thrive .
And to our beloved neighboring country Ghana 🇬🇭, Happy 67Th Independence Celebration 🎉 with lots of Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Am a Nigerian who has never been to Ghana 🇬🇭 but as a neighboring country we share lots of things together and I have family members who also have visited Ghana . And while growing up I have had friends from Ghana who stays here in Nigeria.
And as an adult 👩🏻 with family, when my girls were attending primary schools here in Nigeria, the schools then Principal Mr Oduro was from Ghana 🇬🇭. A very relatable man with kind heart who made the school to be one of the best among its peers. It was indeed a time to reference of how I have had good relationship with a Ghanaian. Up till date we still have people from Ghana here in Nigeria while in Ghana, Nigerians are also having their livelihoods over there.
I learnt from history that Ghana was colonized by the British just like Nigeria and got her independence on the 6th of March, 1957, and during the leadership of Kwame Nkrumah. And as Ghana marks this 67Th Independence Anniversary celebration, the media is filled with how Ghana is prepared to hold many awesome events to celebrate this important day . Parades, cultural exhibitions , especially that of dancing and traditional outfits showcasing which Ghana is known with, for those colorful native attires.
I could still remember always wearing Ghana 🇬🇭 tops with my jeans 👖 every Friday when I was younger and working in the offices . They are so beautiful with attractive colors. Ghana is well known for making of traditional colorful tops and the ever well known till date the Kente which is so valuable for traditional occasions like hosting, marriages and other important visits. This cultural attire has lasted for many years now.
And I have come to love how the Ghanian has continued to use their traditional designed materials to make bag 💼 of all kinds, shoes 👞 , wrist bands, earrings, etc which has added lots of awareness for what the country Ghana is known for or a kind of land mark. On still of awareness, Ghana music industry is also generating lots of vibes. I enjoy most musics 🎶from Ghana especially that of Sarkodie, King Promise whose music is still going viral, Kidi, Shatta Wale, Kwesi Arthur. All these are great artists making their country Ghana proud with their loving ❤️voices.
I must not forget to mention Ghana 🇬🇭 delicious foods. The Nigerian jollof Rice and that of Ghanian is going viral around the world 🌎. Its really a thing to be proud of, a country being known for something remarkable. And I know Ghana has other good gastronomy which travelers will love ❤️.
However, I still have the hope of visiting Ghana either for a business trip or a holiday trip with family as this will greatly provide me with more opportunities to know Ghana more and to see face to face every development that is taking place in Ghana especially that of those that am seeing online here on Hive as @mcsamm continue to empower and engineer every move to the greatest glory of God through #hiveghana , a neighboring country to Nigeria where I come from. And I hope to also meet friends from Ghana here on Hive as time goes on through interaction and engagement activities.
I wish Ghana all the best as she celebrated her 67Th Independence Anniversary. God Bless Ghana 🇬🇭❤️.

Ghanaian headmasters are very kind here but of course strict when they have to be.
I’m not surprised your daughter’s principal Mr Oduro was the same.
We also can’t wait to come to Nigeria
Of course. That is indeed the truth @abenad . Strictness is one character that helps principles and those in charge of departments especially schools 🏫. Mr Oduro was indeed strict.
Thank you for your lovely kind comments. Lets hope to visit each others country as time goes. Have a wonderful new week.
Have a wonderful week too
