Groovy Blues Guitar Solo!
Some blues groove for everyone to jump over the midweek hump and go! Let it rip!
This is a part written and part improvised guitar solo, I play over a track (wether it is my own track or one like I've listed below) and then hit record and go! I have always been inspired by the great players who can just turn on a track and go, or jump in with anyone and start playing solos :)
On that note, I have a lot to improve on, mostly my rhythm playing! These days I am quite focused on writing songs and making videos that I don't often 'practice'. Actually, I tried to practice some rhythm the other day and I was lost, I didn't really know where to begin! So, it led me to where I am now, which is wanting to put together a 12 week guitar course, almost like a mini semester, which is a generic overview of how to go from the very basics to an intermediate player, or at least equip people with the tools to move forwards and progress. I am writing some lesson templates and will get working over the coming weeks :)
Ontop of this, my own music (new music) will be released in due time! I am finishing a few songs off next week (I have been very sick and cannot sing right now) so can't wait to share. Hive, you will all be first to hear... actually... you will all get some unseen behind the scenes footage soon. It will be of myself writing a guitar solo, to show how it goes in the studio. You will see my playing is far from perfect! But, that is what is going on :)

That is what it is, just me having some fun over a great track :) keeping it loose and raw! These improvised solos are a great way to just relax and play. I do often wonder how I'd sound if I took the time to write out solos, but that time will come :)

This is really tasty playing 😋 after all, the key to an interesting solo -- especially if it's quite long -- is diversity: in the techniques, in the scales, in grabbing the right melody at the right time with the chord that's playing under etc.
And can I say? Considering the price/quality ratio: Epiphone >>> Gibson 👀

Yess I'm with you hear!! This Epiphone LP Custom I purchased used is about 15% the price of a new Gibson haha. The new Epiphones actually have Gibson pickups and Gibson headstocks!
Actually I've got a Les Paul standard tobacco burst (exactly the same color of the Slash one on November Rain video) and a black firebird. They sound basically the same ahah, in fact I'd like to change pickups to both. Some more aggressive on the LP and mini humbuckers or P90 on the firebird.
But talking about getting something new, I'd love to have a LP custom alpine white, like Justin Hawkins from the Darkness 😍
That is amazing! Love it! I love Slashs many Les Pauls, the tobacco burst is so nice. Ah cool a Firebird! I've just swapped the pickups in my black Les Paul Custom, it now has Seymour Duncans (sh2n and sh4 jb), am yet to sound check but signal is coming through! My LTD now has the LP pickups on so that looks cool, I'll post a video soon.
Yes! White LP Custom is amazing, I love The Darkness too, I've seen them live it was amazing :)
Saw them live 3 times, I love them so much! Every time they deliver a great show. You know, I say "well, I've already seen them, it couldn't be emotional like the first time..." and then they play Love is only a feeling and I'm like
