This Week They Come in 3s!

In this video, I'm diving deep into the versatile tones of my Les Paul Custom, exploring the full range from clean to dirt to drive! Each tone brings out a different side of the guitar, offering a unique sonic experience that I’m excited to share with you.

This week:

I’m showcasing an original blues guitar solo, because, well, that’s what I love! Blues has always been about expressing raw emotion, and with these tones, I’m capturing the essence of the genre while giving it my personal twist.

CLEAN (00:11):

We’re starting off with the pure, unadulterated sound of the Les Paul. No effects, just the guitar’s natural tone shining through. This clean setting is reminiscent of early blues legends who played straight through a cranked tube amp, producing a slightly overdriven tone when they dug in, but still maintaining that smooth, calm, and clean sound.

DIRT (00:44):

Next up, we add a bit of grit. This mild drive gives you the best of both worlds—a clean sound when picking gently on the neck pickup, but with a bit more bite and energy when switching to the bridge pickup. It’s that perfect blues-rock tone that feels just right, delivering warmth and edge in equal measure.

DRIVE (01:17):

Now it’s time to unleash the beast! I’ve cranked the amp all the way up for a powerful, full-bodied drive that hits hard. This is the tone used by legends like Gary Moore and Slash, with a modern amp setting that delivers that classic hard rock punch. But don’t worry, it still fits beautifully within a blues-rock context, adding a fiery intensity to the solo.

I hope you enjoy this journey through the tones of my Les Paul Custom.

Peace and love! Enjoy!

It's amazing how you touch the soul with every note bro. I thought the blues is a music that you play with your soul. BBking and Gari Moore, just to name two, did that. With just a note or a bending they could say a lot of things. You are a master too bro, I'm going to try to fix my electric guitar, I have blues influences but I would like to learn a lot more about the blues.

Oh yes brother, you know it! Gary Moore and BB King are two of my idols. I was lucky enough to see them both live in 2006, it was incredible. Thank you very much bro, and yes as soon as you fix your electric guitar you will be rocking blues solos! :D
