HIVE - Welcome back :)

This week I am kicking off with a Guitar Lesson, to share some of my techniques with you all. This lesson is focused on beginner players, who can play the guitar but might be having some troubles getting their lead guitar playing sorted out.

A big thanks to our friend @jasperdick for an amazing acousitc guitar lesson last week, and in return, here is some electric guitar! I hope this is valuable and you can gain some tips!:)

In this lesson, I break everything down into 4 'steps'. This is to help you master along the way and not get too far ahead. Always start slow and give yourself plenty of patience :) I know... but it will really help. 20mins a day on this and you'll see some big changes towards the end of the week! I am sure of that!

I talk about the Pentatonic Scale, and the importance of keeping things simple. Playing with few notes first and builkding from there. Then, building up some melodies and rhythm. From here, we dive in Phrasing, which is the most important aspect of a guitar solo!
Moving on, we look at more advanced techniques such as bending, vibrato, sliding and trills. To sum it all up, we will grab a few go to licks and you are armed and ready to fire!

00:00 Introduction
00:17 Pentatonic Scale
01:06 Step 1 - 4 notes. Rhythm, Melody
02:42 Root note and Resolve
03:36 Step 2 - Phrasing (Call and Response)
04:55 Q & A
06:09 Step 3 - Advanced Techniques (made easy)
08:50 Example - all of the above
09:36 Step 4 - Go To Licks
10:50 Examples
11:01 Closing and Thanks

Thanks everyone, if you have any questions just ask!:) Peace and love!

The pentatonic scale is a simple, versatile scale with a characteristic sound. It is an ideal tool for beginners and experienced musicians alike. It can be used in a wide variety of musical genres and is perfect for improvisation. Excellent explanation bro. This is a great contribution to the community.
