Royal Mint Paul McCartney coin

I recently discovered that the Royal Mint produces a Music Legends series of coins with the release of the latest installment, Paul McCartney!

I'm a huge McCartney fan so when I saw this coin I knew I had to get one, even if it's the clad version.

They minted some bullion versions as well but they are so limited the prices are ridonculous!

There is a 2oz proof silver version with a mintage of 750 pieces, so that one is priced well over $200. Then they minted 500 5oz proof silver coins and are selling those for $675 😂

Then there is a 10oz colored silver proof with a mintage of 150 pieces for only $1500!! Fooking 'ell 🇬🇧

There are some gold versions as well but those are all sold out and I'm sure I don't have one million dollars or however much they are charging.

I do love this clad version though. The bass guitar head has the Wings logo on it.

There is a picture of a goat or a donkey or something on the back. The coin comes in a plastic cover inside this cool little book with some pictures and info about Paul.

So, I just looked back at all the artists they have featured on coins for this series and oh boy I wish I wouldn't have :/

Damn, one of my all-time favorite bands and it's sold out :(
