✦A Sinulog Festival in CBSAA✦

Hello, it's me again @sumari09, for today's blog I'm going to share with you all our Sinulog festival event here in our school.

What and Why do we celebrate the Sinulog Festival?
Sinulog Festival is a cultural festival celebrated in honor of Senior Santo in Cebu.

✦School's Event

On Friday morning, January 19, 2024, our school holds a Sinulog festival just on our campus to celebrate the Feast of Sr.Santo Nino. The first thing we did was prepare for the mass before starting the dancing and singing since praying is very important of course we're celebrating Sinulog so the mass comes first actually all parties and festivals should come with praying first cause that is always very important in every event to acknowledge God's presence for guidance and protection. right? In the mass, everyone is singing and waving for our Santo Nino showing how grateful we are to our holy child.

✦The Collaboration of Dance and Music

After the mass, the first that came were Teachers dancing the Sinulog song with the Music Major's band playing the music for them, and the dance major led the teacher to the dance steps. I saw that our school principal was dancing all to his heart, Yes, our principal also teaches. I don't quite know our school principal but my friends who are also my classmates told me that the principal is scary. I've twice had an encounter with the principal I guess his face is quite scary but let's not judge people by the way they look. So I think he was kind and approachable.

My encounter with the Principal

My first encounter with sir was I was at the canteen buying a snack when sir asked what was on my sock he must have thought it was poop but no it was dirt it was raining that time so I kinda had dirt on my sock. The second encounter with sir is when he asks the grade 10 media to go to his office to help him with something I was the only one available so I nervously went to his office wondering what they would sir principal gonna ask for, I was so nervous at that time that my tummy just starts hurting of nervousness. Hahaha!! Anyway, let's go back to our Festival.

✦Music band

After some time they prepared the next group to perform and that was the Music major's band they sang just for entertainment since they were kinda famous in the school and their singing would get a lot of people's attention. I only know one Music they sang and it was by Taylor Swift the other music they sang is also famous don't know the title and who wrote it, while they play we are on the other side just vibing cause who doesn't love vibing too a great music and how nice they're voice is.

After they sang they proceeded to the festival queen contest I didn't get to pictures of the queens and the contestants because of how low my phone storage is and my classmates didn't have an interest in taking pictures since they also didn't wanna waste their storage and I guess my classmate kinda have their own business and not just taking photos. There were a lot of contestants and the dance they were wonderful to watch. That was mostly it I didn't get to know who the winner was since I got home early because I got tired and so did my eyes.
