Getting To Know My Town | Actifit Report Card: April 3 2024


I walk for health & enjoyment. As I get back to this activity, I would like to walk for a minimum of an hour each day & I'm shooting for 10,000 steps.

On This Walk......

I have come to terms with this walking thing.Trying to figure out how to get my 10,000 steps in has been a real task & seems to be getting more & more time consuming than I would like it to be. So, I will walk each day for not more than 1 hr 30 minutes, not what I thought I could originally do but eventually I believe that 10,000 steps in one hour is possible but, it’s just gonna take some time.

Feeling good today, & the walk is on!

The Music That Moves Me

Adding some of the music I listened to today. As always, I start with what's playing when I start, & I’m changing to sharing just two songs, so of course I will share what brings me home.

On April 3rd it was 8:37am when I left the house and to start my walk off ‘Dancing In The Street’ by ‘Martha Reeves & The Vandellas’ was playing.

At 9:42am & 6079 steps, just 1 hr. & 5 minutes later, I was at my approach to home. The music that kept me stepping & brought me home was ‘we Run This’ by ‘Missy Elliott’, but since I just shared this a couple of days ago, I’m sharing the song that played just before which brought me close to my final steps. ‘Walk This Way’ by ‘Run DMC’.

While I didn’t make it to 10,000 steps, I’m happy with my efforts. I know that with my daily activity I can make my 10,000 activity steps & still make my goals. For health reasons I have to find some new methods for getting activity points.

Where I Step At

I just want to share a couple of the areas I walk & try to help my count be a little higher. I want to share these areas with you & give them names because sometimes I want to share them in my post but if I didn’t introduce them to you you would have no idea what I’m talking about.

This area I call ‘The Triangle’. This area is just off the main street behind some shops. Sometimes, when the town has community events, this is where they are held.

The first picture shows the first point I approach as I walk up to the triangle. The second picture (top panoramic picture) shows the second point & the third picture is the 3rd point, then back to point one. I walk this triangle a minimum of three times.

Daily Activity, Walking


i think that by time u can reach 10K in 1 hour, just wait for the body to adapt to change, u reach app. 7 thousand wich rings a bell..

Thanks!! I did realize that I was rushing things. I used to walk before, but it's been 2 yrs since then. I used to do 20k or more so thought 10k would be a breeze. I'm taking it slow now & just waiting for my steps to improve.
