)My Actifit Report Card: March 31, 2024


I walk for health & enjoyment. As I get back to this activity, I would like to walk for a minimum of an hour each day & I'm shooting for 10,000 steps.

On This Walk......

I have come to terms with this walking thing.Trying to figure out how to get my 10,000 steps in has been a real task & seems to be getting more & more time consuming than I would like it to be. So, I will walk each day for not more than 1 hr 30 minutes, not what I thought I could originally do but eventually I believe that 10,000 steps in one hour is possible but, it’s just gonna take some time.

The Music That Moves Me

Adding some of the music I listened to today. As always, I start with what's playing when I start, then every 30 minutes to what brings me home.

On March 31st it was 7:06am when I left the house and to start my walk off ‘Sam I Am’ by ‘Sam The Beast’ was playing.

Thirty minutes in at 7:36am & 3361 activity steps, ‘Nasty’ by ‘Janet Jackson’ was playing.

At the 1 hour mark @ 8:06am & 6883 steps later, things are looking good as I approach the home stretch. The music that kept me stepping was ‘Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ by ‘Brian Hyland’.

When I finally reached home at 8:17am & 8054 activity steps, the song that brought me home was ‘Grenade’ by ‘Bruno Mars’ but that just took me to my driveway. So for those last steps, ‘Get Dancing’ by ‘Disco-Tex & His Sex-O-Lettes’

While I didn’t make it to 10,000 steps, I’m happy with my efforts. I know that with my daily activity I can make my 10,000 activity steps & still make my goals. For health reasons I have to find some new methods for getting activity points.

i like how u programmed yourself to reach 10ks, i recommend u to focus on the trip and the enjoyment u will get from it, and the Ks will come alone easily without focusing on them.

I really think I'm just trying too hard & fast. I used to do this a few years back & was @ 20k when I stopped, so I know it's possible. I just have to realize that I'm older now & that my health only allows me but so much at once.
