A Work In Progress | My Actifit Report Card: March 21 2024

I walk for health & enjoyment. As I get back to this activity, I would like to walk for a minimum of an hour each day & I'm shooting for 10,000 steps.

On This Walk......

Today my walk is all about getting the numbers right. Although I keep increasing my trail, it seems I can’t get to my 10,000 steps, I keep coming close but it doesn’t increase enough. Also, I’m adding more music to my playlist and found that some songs are good for walking but tend to slow me down, which contributes to my step count. With slower music. I tend to walk slower while faster music makes me move faster & take smaller steps which improves the count.

The Music That Moves Me

Adding some of the music I listened to today. As always, I start with what's playing when I start, then what's playing about halfway through, & end with what brings me home.

On March 21st I left at 7:57am and started out with a song called 'Hooked On Your Love' by 'Aretha Franklin’.

At 8:27, which is halfway by my 1 hour time, iwas at 3147 and stepping to one of my favorite songs by ‘Aretha Franklin’ called ‘The House That Jack Built’.

Exactly one hour after I left, 8:57am,I only had 6160, and I was still a little ways from home, listening to one of my favorite rappers, ‘DMX’. No Love For Me’. My version is explicit, but I’m listing the cleaner, more appropriate version here.

Finally, I ended my walk with 7371 activity steps when I reached my front door at 9:10am.The song that bought me home was ‘Beats To The Rhyme’ by ‘Run DMC’

It seems that no matter what I do I just can;t seem to get that 10,000 steps in my morning walk. But I’m not giving up, it’s a work in progress.
