No idea how good or bad electronic pianos sound these days back in 1997 i had a Roland g800 workstation to play with some MIDI on my pc and Amiga .
I assume the sound samples got better over the years but then you still need the right speakers to make it work.

Yes, when it comes to digital pianos or keyboards, even though they probably evolved a lot over the years, you need good speakers and a balanced sound, which is the work of sound technicians to adjust. That is why I prefer acoustic pianos, because I don't depend on other people on that scale, just to adjust the microphones if they are used in a certain event. 🎶
