Our Three Tune Tusday Songs - some inspirations song picks from us...

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we want to look into Beck the lofi, experimental and cool American writer and producer. He has large library of great songs but if you want a good starting place check out "Mellow Gold" which is a fabulous album or "Odelay" which is equally good.

Song 1

Now if this song does not get you then I don't know what will. This is a stand out grove by the weird enigma that is Beck. The slide guitars and beats are sublime and the grove sits so well. You have some awesome subtle backing vocals and the lyrics are intriguing. This grove and feel has been an inspiration for us since we first heard it in the 90's

Song 2

Now you want a classic baseline and a classic Beck song then this is it. I mean there is a keytar in it. It also has he classic mix of backing vocals and talking and just like Looser the groove is to die for.

Song 3

Now Devils Haircut is our third choice for TTT. As a lyricist I really love him, an inspiration. No idea sometimes what he is actually writing about but it is always a cool as a penguin on a particularly cold day.... this song has all the trademark Beck sounds on it.
