Introduction

We like to do currated playlists and also we are featured in hundreds of playlists on Spotify and wanted to higlight a few. We are always looking for suggestions for our playlist, so if you have a good idea then post a link to spotify in the comments!

This weeks playlist is all about Soul which has so many classic songs. We have had many a debate about what is soul? I mean the cross over between soul and funk...what truly defines soul music? We only just started this playlist so if you have a good suggestion then let us know in the comments!

OK so we figured if it had soul in the title it must be soul, although this is funky! Meh, who knows this is a great tune and has been well sampled over the years!

So we were talking about more modern soul and we came up with Duffy, who not that modern is not from the 70's and this is a fantastic track and to us it definitely has the soul!

Maybe one of the most iconic soul songs ever. It is a beautiful track with brilliant vocals and writing! Got to love the album cover as well....

The soul/jazz crossover is currently having a resurgence and this Canadian outfit have got it going on!

Classic is all I can say about this earlier Soul lineup. I lived it every day during my youth. Nothing better. I can't pick a favorite. So, if you can't have the one you love...love the one you're with. And move on leaving your heartbreak in the tracks of your tears, lolol.
